China is the largest producer of garlic,and the large garlic production has driven the development of the garlic processing industry.A huge amount of garlic waste water is generated during the garlic processing,which is difficult to treat due to the bactericidal effect of one component,allicin.The existing treatment method for garlic wastewater only stays at the stage where biodegradation is the main method and the physical method is supplemented.When facing with garlic wastewater biodegradation not only has a low efficiency,hard to achieve water production standards,and it wastes much of the effective substance,allicin,within garlic wastewater.For the current situation:This paper designed three process flow separation experiments,using nanofiltration + reverse osmosis,ultrafiltration + reverse osmosis and single-stage reverse osmosis three kinds of process experiments,through experiments we found that:three processes can achieve the standard of water quality,the concentration of allicin in the three process waters was reduced to 18.5 mg/L,6.25 mg/L,and 4.2 mg/L,respectively.Where the effect on the separation of allicin and garlic polysaccharides in the first-stage concentrated solution,the concentrations of allicin and garlic polysaccharides were 0.187,0.074,and 0.012,respectively.Experiments have shown that nanofiltration +reverse osmosis can separate garlic and garlic polysaccharides while achieving water production standardsThen,in order to fully solve the wastewater treatment problem,this paper further carried out flocculation-pressure filtration treatment of concentrated wastewater.The filtered cake obtained by pressure filtration was compared to the cake produced without the addition of flocculants.The results showed that after adding 1%PAC+0.1 PAM to wastewater concentrate the high-dryness cake’s water content was reduced in 14.6%,efficiently,therefore,reduced the cost of subsequent solid waste disposal.
