The uranium pollution of water has always been a problem of great concern to people. When a person drinks uranium-containing water by mistake, uranixim binds to bone tissue and creates internal radiation hazards. In order to study the combination of uranium with bone tissue and to seek ways to reduce the harm of uranium on human exposure,pseudo-biomaterial based on UF resin is used to simulate human bone tissue in this paper, which was prepared by modifying UF resin with bone glue and hydroxyapatite. The effective measures of internal protection are provided by investigaitng the adsorption and desorption behavior of uranium on pseudo-biomaterial.The surface physical and chemical properties of pseudo-biomaterial based on UF resin is characterized by SEM,FT-IR and XPS techniques. The results show that the pseudo-biomaterial is presented as particle structure with specific stability.Additionally,it contains groups such as-NHCO-and PO43-that can be combined with UO22+.Adsorption properties of UO22+ on the pseudo-biomaterial has been studied.Equilibrium adsorption capacity of the material is 28.50mg/g under the simulated conditions of body internal environment(37?,pH=7.0).Adsorption process is well fitted by pseudo-second-order model.Desorption results show that under the simulated conditions of internal environment, total desorption rates of uranium on the pseudo-biomaterial by tea or soda are 85.75%or 95.72%,respectively.Assuming a man has drunk 800L of uranium-contaminated water(concentration of UO22+ is 700?g/L)in a year, than the amount of uranium in bone is 9.84?g/a·kg-1,and the effective dose equivalent of internal irradiation from uranium is estimated to be 511.68?Sv/a.After drinking tea or soda, the amount of uranium in bone may decreased to 1.40?g/a·kg-1 and 0.42?g/a·kg-1,while the dose may reduced to 72.91?Sv/a and 21.90?Sv/a.Therefore,tea and soda can be considered as desorbents to reduce the harm of internal radiation from uranium.
