Polypropylene(PP)has been widely used in the chemical,industrial,agricultural,construction,and manufacturing industries because of its excellent properties.It is one of the four general-purpose plastics.However,since it is.easily exposed to light;heat and oxygen,etc.during use,it can easily lead to deterioration of PP and mechanical properties.In order to prevent the aging of the PP,some multifunctional stabilizer such as the light stabilizer,the heat stabilizer are usually added in PP during the processing of the PP so that the aging resistance of the PP is improved.However,the added auxiliaries are usually organic substances,which have the disadvantages of small molecular weight,high volatility,immature migration,and poor thermal stability.Although the resistance to photo-aging of PP is increased to a certain extent,it affects the use of PP.Therefore,in order to improve the photo-aging resistance of PP,it has great practical significance to prepare PP functional additives with excellent properties.Layered Double Hydroxide(LDH)is a layered anionic clay with the advantages of adjustable composition,controllable structure,exchangeable interlayer anions,and good stability.It is used as light stabilizer and heat stabilizer for plastics.The agent has been widely recognized.In the currently known studies,most of the intercalated hydrotalcites prepared as light stabilizer aids for PP materials are organic UV absorbers(salicylic acid,benzophenones,etc.).The study on the assembly of hindered amine light stabilizers(HALS)as inter-layer guest to hydrotalcite laminates has not been seen yet,and most of the UV absorber intercalation is single-object intercalation,and the inter-layer guest performance constraints make single guest insertion possible.Layered hydrotalcite has a single function,poor controllability,and less research on multi-object intercalation of light stabilizers.To solve this problem,this paper proposes the idea of HALS intercalation hydrotalcite based on the inter-layer anion regulatable property of hydrotalcite,and use hydrotalcite laminates to protect the inter-layer guest and improve the dispersion,resistance to migtation and stability of light stabilizers.By using the HALS and the UV absorber multi-object intercalation hydrotalcite to achieve the function coordination and the performance enhancement.The main research contents and conclusions of the paper are as follows.The HALS1,a hindered amine light stabilizer,was synthesized with cyanuric chloride,sodium sulfamate,and tetramethylpiperidine amine,and the organic structure of HALS1 was characterized.Intercalation of HALS1 into layers of hydrotalcite was performed using the ion exchange method to obtain a photo-aging material with a supramolecular intercalation structure.The structure,composition and morphology of the intercalated structure material were characterized,and examined the ultraviolet absorption performance,thermal stability of LDH,and examined the resistance to photo-aging and mechanical properties of PP after compounding with LDH.Experiments show that the intercalation assembly improves the stability of the HALS,and the LDH is combined with the PP to improve the UV absorption performance,thermal stability,photo-aging resistance and mechanical properties of the PP,and prolong the service life of the PP.The hindered amine light stabilizer HALS2 was synthesized using cyanuric chloride,sodium sulfamate and tetramethylpiperidine amine,and the organic structure of HALS2 was characterized.The HALS2 intercalation layer was assembled into hydrotalcite layers by ion exchange method to obtain a photo-aging material with a supramolecular intercalation structure.The structure,composition and morphology of the intercalation structure material were characterized,and examined the ultraviolet absorption performance and thermal stability of LDH,and examined the resistance to photo-aging and mechanical properties PP after compounding with the LDH.Experiments show that the intercalation assembly improves the stability of the HALS,and the LDH is combined with the PP to improve the UV absorption performance,thermal stability,photo-aging resistance and mechanical properties of the PP,and prolong the service life of the PP.The hindered amine light stabilizer HALS1 was synthesized using cyanuric chloride,sodium sulfamate and tetramethylpiperidine amine,using ion exchange method firstly to assemble HALS1 intercalation layers into hydrotalcite layers,and then ultraviolet absorber BP4 was used to obtain multi-guest hydrotalcite-resistant photo-aging materials by ion exchange method.The structure,composition and morphology of the intercalated structure materials were characterized,and examined the UV absorption properties of the intercalated structure materials.Then,thermal stability,resistance to photo-aging and mechanical properties after compounding with LDH of PP were examined.Experiments show that the intercalation assembly improves the stability of the HALS,and the LDH is combined with the PP to improve the UV absorption performance,thermal stability,photo-agimg resistance and mechanical properties of the PP,and prolong the service life of the PP.
