| Polypropylene(PP)is a propylene monomer by polymerization reaction to generate thermoplastic resin as the matrix material,adding a certain amount of additional additives and made.PP is the five most common plastic in the lightest,with a lot of general plastic excellent performance,is widely used in various fields.Especially in recent years,C hina in the slope of the software ecological restoration projec t in the extensive use of PP material,so that a substantial increase in consumption.But PP is very sensitive to heat,oxygen,especially light,in the use of outdoor easy to aging,reduce their physical and chemical properties,or even lose the use of value,restricting its use and development.HALS,EPDM and PP blends were used to study the optimum ratio and properties of PP,and the HALS,EPDM and PP blends.The aging and toughening properties of ternary blends were studied.The properties of the tested PP were analyzed according to the performance test method of the related polymer materials in the country: carbonyl index(CI),crystal content,tensile strength and notched impact strength.Research indicates:1)The addition of HALS can improve the photostability and mechanical properties of PP,which is beneficial to prolong its service life.In PP,HALS is not only a light stabilizer and,to a certain extent,acts as an antioxidant.In addition,when the content of HALS is 0.3%,the comprehensive performance of modified PP is the best,which can maintain the tensile strength retention rate of PP sample up to 110%,the impact strength retention rate is up to 95.84% and the carbonyl index is 7.6.2)Adding EPDM can improve the mechanical properties a nd light stability of PP,which can effectively prolong the use time of the products.In the initial processing of PP,EPDM can play the role of antioxidants,PP significantly inhibit the thermal aging reaction.In addition,the content of EPDM has a great influence on the mechanical properties of PP.The impact strength of PP/EPDM(P/E)blends is brittle when EPDM content is less than 15%.When EPDM content increases from 15% to 20%,PP/EPDM blends to complete the rubber and plastic transition,the formatio n of high impact properties of thermoplastic elastomers.3)The HALS was mixed with EPDM and added to PP.After four weeks of aging,the elongation at break of PP/EPDM/HALS(P/E/H)was 277.05%,48.35 times of pure PP and 13.24 times of PP/HALS(P/H)and 8.27 times of P/E.The elongation at break was 327.64%,28.29 times of pure PP,6.11 times of P/H sample,6.38 times of P/E sample,the impact strength was 6500 J · m-2,8.62 times of pure PP in the same period,3.61 times of P/H sample and 1.44 times of P/E sample.P/E/H samples retain the anti-aging ability of P/H samples,and to some extent retain the toughness of P/E samples,the formation of excellent performance of the ternary blend thermoplastic elastomer.The performance of P/E/H samples is higher than that of P/H and P/E samples,which indicates that HALS and EPDM have a very good synergistic effect on the aging properties of PP.PP raw materials rich,cost-effective,adding anti-aging agent and toughener modified PP after a wider range of use,HALS and EPDM in PP showed a very significant synergies.It is entirely feasible to add anti-aging agent and toughening agent to prepare anti-aging and impact resistant PP material. |
