At present,the urbanization construction of Gansu Province has entered a period of rapid development,and the urbanization rate has increased from 24.01% in 2000 to 44.69% in 2016.The level of urbanization has increased significantly,the space has expanded rapidly,and the population has been continuously concentrated.However,it is accompanied by a series of ecological and environmental problems such as the scarcity of water resources in the city and the generation of large quantities of pollutants.In this context,the Central Economic Work Conference held in December 2012 pointed out: We must fully incorporate the concepts and principles of ecological civilization into the entire process of new urbanization,improve the quality of urbanization,and take the road to intensive,smart,green,and low-carbon urbanization..Gansu Province is a weak ecological area and the ecological environment is extremely fragile.Therefore,in the new urbanization construction,it is particularly important to pay attention to ecological and environmental protection.Based on this,it is of great significance to study the coupling mechanism of urbanization and environmental protection in Gansu Province,and to improve the coupling and coordination of urbanization and ecological environment protection.This paper analyzes the current situation of urbanization and ecological environment protection in Gansu Province,and constructs a new comprehensive evaluation index system of urbanization quality index and a comprehensive evaluation index of ecological environmental protection level in Gansu Province.It uses AHP and entropy method to comprehensively determine the weight of each indicator.On this basis,a model for the coupling and coordination of urbanization and eco-environment was established,and an empirical analysis was conducted on the urbanization quality,the level of ecological environmental protection,and the coupling and coordination of urbanization and ecological environment protection in Gansu Province.Integrating and Coordinating the Urbanization Quality Index,Comprehensive Index of Eco-environmental,Urbannization and Ecological Environment Protection in Gansu Province Using Global Spatial Autocorrelation and Local Spatial Autocorrelation Analysis to Conduct Urbanization and Ecological Environment Protection in Gansu Province Coupling of time and space empirical analysis.Finally,this paper constructs spatial lag model and spatial Dubin model to further analyze the space-time mechanism of the coupling of urbanization and ecological environment protection in Gansu Province.The empirical analysis of the coupling mechanism of urbanization and ecological environment protection in Gansu Province shows that there is a positive spatial correlation in the quality of urbanization in Gansu Province,but this spatial correlation is at a relatively low level and not significant;the ecological environmental protection level in Gansu Province It is divergence.The urbanization and ecological environment protection in various cities and counties of Gansu Province are in an antagonistic period.The coupling and coordination level between the urbanization and ecological environment protection has a certain degree of spatial autocorrelation and agglomeration.The cities of Zhangye,Jinchang and Qingyang have formed a high level at the low concentration center,Gannan Prefecture formed a low-low agglomeration center.Different types of urbanization have different effects on the level of ecological environmental protection.Based on the analysis results,this article proposes some policy suggestions on how to improve the coupling and coordination of urbanization and ecological environment protection in Gansu Province.
