The global climate change caused by excessive emission of greenhouse gases poses a great threat to the survival and development of human society.Reducing greenhouse gas emissions and developing low-carbon economy has become the consensus of the world.Carbon productivity reflects the economic benefits of carbon dioxide as input elements,and is an important bridge to achieve low carbon economy.Jiangsu is one of the fastest growing provinces in China,and also a large province of greenhouse gas emissions.In recent years,energy saving and emission reduction in Jiangsu has entered a deep stage,and the potential of emission reduction is becoming more and more difficult.Therefore,accurately grasping the characteristics of Jiangsu’s carbon productivity and exploring the influencing factors of carbon productivity is of great significance for Jiangsu to achieve deep emission reduction.First,the paper calculates the carbon dioxide emissions and carbon productivity of Jiangsu province for 2005-2015 years,and focuses on the analysis of the temporal and spatial evolution characteristics of carbon productivity in Jiangsu province and the decoupling relationship between carbon productivity and economic development.The results show that the decoupling relationship between carbon productivity and economic development has nothing to do with carbon productivity,and is closely related to the growth rate of carbon emissions.Secondly,based on the BCC model,the total factor carbon productivity analysis framework of Jiangsu province is constructed,and the carbon productivity differences in twelve cities in Jiangsu province and South of Jiangsu,Jiangsu and North Jiangsu are analyzed,and the external factors that affect the advantages and disadvantages of the carbon productivity in Jiangsu province are found out.There is a significant imbalance in the region of carbon productivity in Jiangsu province.The carbon productivity level in Suzhou and Wuxi is relatively high,in the front of carbon productivity;the carbon productivity in Lianyungang and Huaian is relatively low,and it is urgent to improve the carbon productivity.The carbon productivity of other cities is more general,which need to be improved.The carbon productivity of the three regions shows a pattern of "middle JiangSu > South of Jiangsu > Northern Jiangsu".In order to improve carbon productivity in Jiangsu Province,we should first improve the external environment of carbon dioxide emissions,and secondly,strengthen inter regional communication and cooperation in talent technology.Energysaving and emission reduction should be based on the objective reality of different regions,and formulate differentiated emission reduction policies,so as to achieve coordinated emission reduction among different regions.Finally,we use LMDI decomposition method to quantitatively analyze the impact of energy efficiency,energy structure and industrial structure on Jiangsu’s carbon productivity.The change of carbon productivity is mainly influenced by energy efficiency,industrial structure and energy structure factors.The continuous improvement of energy efficiency caused by the progress of technology level is the main reason for the growth of carbon productivity in Jiangsu province.In recent years,the role of energy efficiency in improving carbon productivity in Jiangsu is weakening,and industrial structure factors play a more and more important role in the increase of carbon productivity in Jiangsu province.To transform traditional industries and further optimize industrial structure is the key to increase carbon productivity and achieve CO2 emission reduction in Jiangsu province at this stage.Developing new energy and improving energy production and consumption structure is an effective way to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and improve carbon productivity in Jiangsu province.
