At present,the processing method of tablets is to use the press machine to batch production.The production of targeted release tablets is an important development direction in the future pharmacology.The 3D printing technology has the characteristics of customization,which can process complex three-dimensional structure.The combination of 3D printing technology and tablet processing technology can control tablet disintegration and release by changing the specific surface area of tablets by designing tablet structure.In this paper,the design and implementation of a double-nozzle 3D printer that can print acetaminophen powder is designed and implemented,and the contents are as follows.(1)The mechanical design of a double-nozzle 3D printer used for tablet processing is carried out in this paper.The design includes the body structure of the 3D printer,the power source,the transmission device,the extrusion device,the printing platform and so on.SolidWorks is used for virtual assembly,and then built and debugged.(2)In this paper,some beam structures and cantilever structures on 3D printers,such as X axis,Y axis,Z axis and printing platform,are analyzed by Ansys Workbench,and the displacement cloud and equivalent stress cloud are obtained.Finally,the modal analysis of the box structure is carried out.(3)The sources of 3D print forming error are classified.The systematic errors and parameter errors are analyzed.The influence of parameters such as layer thickness,extrusion speed,filling speed,filling rate and filling pattern on the printing accuracy are analyzed and calculated.The results are used in subsequent experiments.(4)In the acetaminophen tablet printing experiment,the best print parameter combination was obtained by orthogonal tests.And an immediate release agent and an extended release agent of acetaminophen tablets were prepared to obtain the 3D printed acetaminophen tablets.Further,the physical properties(weight,hardness,friability)and chemical properties(content,release characteristics)of the 3D printed tablet were experimentally determined.3D printed double-layer acetaminophen tablets meet the design requirements from both physical and chemical properties.The feasibility of using 3D printing technology in the pharmaceutical industry has been proved.
