Natural gas is an important clean energy source.The world will expand the LNG's usage to protect the environment,energy saving and emission reduction.But there is “more coal less oil and gas” in China.So importing LNG from foreign country is not only an effective supplement of domestic resources,but also the protection of domestic resources.The low cost and convenient and flexible way to import natural gas is to ship the liquefied natural gas(LNG),so the domestic liquefied natural gas receiving station came into being.The function of LNG receiving station is to receive,store,convert and output natural gas.In the process of receiving and converting LNG,the application of DCS system can ensure the production process of LNG receiving stations are more secure,reduce the incidence of safety accidents,reduce costs,and achieve better operational benefits.So the application of DCS system in the LNG receiving station is increasing,and it plays an irreplaceable role.This is an engineering design project.This paper first analyzes LNG receiving station process and the requirements of enterprise's configuration of DCS system,Then the DCS system architecture and overall planning of LNG receiving station are proposed.And the DCS system design and debugging of LNG receiving station is realized through DCS system project creation,system configuration and system generation.At last,the design of DCS system in phase I was analyzed,and the alarm function was improved in phase II.The phase II of the project is to increase the LNG storage capacity of the receiving station,2 new storage tanks are expected to be added.Through demand analysis,there is need to increase 255 I/O points of DCS system,2 new cabinet and 1 controllers in all.The design and debugging of DCS System in phase II project was realized by using the System View configuration software to define the configuration and logic diagram and the control table.Due to the system expansion and process requirements,the overall design thought and architecture were adjusted,and the specific design scheme was optimized.
