Under the background of the current international community,the cost of industrial production increases with the decreasing of the demographic dividend.To solve this problem,further emancipate the productive forces,and again to improve the efficiency of industrial production,reduce operating costs,the traditional manufacturing industry began to attach importance to made "smart" this concept,and combining with actual production link,and robots as one of the main body,more and more widely applied in all kinds of industrial production.Grinding and polishing technology,as a crucial link in manufacturing,is widely used in the production of auto parts,aerospace equipment and industrial building materials.The robot grinding workstation described in this paper is used as an alternative to traditional human polishing,which is mainly used to burr and grind the surface of aluminum automobile parts.In this paper,the design principles of the workstation,the establishment of hardware system,the design of software platform and the field debugging are studied in this thesis.Workstation design in this paper through a lot of handling,polishing experiments to improve the robot workstation problems and optimization,ensure the quality of the casting grinding,improve production efficiency.The whole production line is in the trial run stage,and the polishing production task of aluminum casting is very good.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:(1)The overall design of metal component polishing workstation.Combined with the enterprise’s actual design of the overall layout of the robot polishing workstation,the technical requirements for the polishing of aluminum castings are analyzed.(2)Hardware design of metal component polishing workstation.Finish the selection and design of the electrical system of the whole polishing workstation and its peripheral equipment.Mainly includes two stage six degrees of freedom of industrial robots,ABB drive,turn out,motorized spindle,grinding tool and PLC and authority to sensor and the design of the hardware such as type selection,the design of the electrical drawings.(3)Software design of robot workstation.Complete the software design and development of the whole workstation,including the process of PLC program of the whole system and the design of the molecular process,to realize the switching between automatic mode and offline mode.(4)Site debugging of metal component polishing workstation.Finish the adjustment of the machine at the scene,and in the actual process of trial run of the whole robot workstation for equipment of polishing fine-tuned and further optimization of the program,to solve the problem encountered unexpected.
