The Research On The Impact Of The Import And Export Of Chinese Electronic Information Products On Environmental Pollution

With the rise of the global environmental protection craze,people are paying more and more attention to resources,environment and sustainable development ability.And the impact of foreign trade on the environment has become the focus of people’s attention.Since the reform and opening up,China’s electronic information industry has undergone tremendous changes.Now,the electronic information industry has grown into one of the pillar industries in our country.It is also a dominant industry of the import and export trade in our country and plays a strong leading role in our country’s rapid economic development and the further expansion of foreign trade.What’s more,the import and export of electronic information products has made remarkable achievements.In 2015,the total import and export of China’s electronic information products accounted for 33%of the total import and export volume of the whole country,which was one of the main driving forces for the development of China’s import and export trade.As we all know,when we design,manufacture and sell electronic information products,all of these processes will be harm to the environment.Therefore,this paper studies the influence of the import and export trade of electronic information products on environmental pollution in China.This paper adopts the method combining theory with demonstration.First of all,it summarizes the previous research results about the relationship between trade and environmental pollution and the relevant theories about the effect of trade on environmental pollution,including scale effect,structure effect,and technical effect and so on.Then,by using the collected data,it analyses the current situation of electronic information products and environmental pollution in China.The results show that the import and export trade of electronic information products has increased a lot.The discharge of industrial waste water has decreased slightly.The emission of industrial waste gas and the generation of industrial solid wastes have all increased.Finally,through establishing regression models,this paper makes empirical researches on the relationship between the foreign trade of electronic information products and environmental pollution in China.The results show that due to different pollutants,the impact of electronic information products’ trade on the environmental pollution is different.First,as for industrial waste water,both the export trade of electronic information products and the import trade of electronic information products can help reduce its discharge.Second,both the import and export trade of electronic information products can help reduce the emission of industrial waste gas and improve the environmental quality of our country.Three,as for industrial solid wastes,the export trade of electronic information products has no significant impact on its generation,but the import trade helps reduce the generation of industrial solid wastes.Four,with the increase of import and export of electronic information products,the value of comprehensive index of environmental pollution has been declining.This indicates that its import and export trade can help improve environmental quality.Five,in the process of affecting environmental pollution,the import trade and export trade of electronic information products interact each other.
