A Research About The Application Of Quilting Art Under The Concept Of Turning Waste Into Wealth

With the development of social economy,a variety of fast fashion brands emerge one after another,which also changes people's consumption views gradually.When people's clothes don't accord with the current fashion trend anymore,they will throw the clothes away,and those outdated clothes are turned to waste.Therefore,textile and garment waste becomes the main source of solid waste.According to the report,the main handling methods of dealing with those textile are burning and burying,which causes the severe waste of resource and the serious contamination to the environment.Under such a circumstance,starting from the concept of "turning waste into wealth",the thesis takes quilting art as a research object,and makes a summary about its cultural origin and a research about its design application at home and abroad,so as to explore new methods of recycling wasted textile,and to relieve the current pollution problem brought by textile production.In this way,it tends to resolve the problem of resource waste ultimately.By combining traditional quilting techniques and modern design concept,it promotes the traditional technological level to the design level,to infuse a green and environmental concept into the traditional quilting art.It hopes to promote the development of traditional handicraft art,and meanwhile reduce the ecological pollution,in order to make contributions to the protection of ecological environment.As for the environmental problem caused by wasted textile,we try to categorize the wasted leftover materials by clothes factories and customers based on their texture,craft and color,then make artistic creation on them.Through a second creation,those previous waste in people's eyes are turned into artistic objects with both appreciation and utilization value,which will strengthen people's awareness of environmental protection and meanwhile relieve the environmental pressure brought by resource waste.
