This article summarizes the edible seeds(Hibiscus mutabilis L,west states honey,yellow an egg shaped thing,Elizabeth,balsam pear)contains the nutrients and the present stage of this a few kinds of edible seeds of plants,introduces the important role of thiol compounds in biological body and of thiol compounds are often used in the analysis of testing methods,and put forward the edible seeds on the determination of thiol compounds such as glutathione in methods and the value of research,summarizes the topic of this research train of thought and main research content.In addition,the derivative reagent of this study was 5,5’-dithio-bis-nitrobenzoic acid(DTNB),because it was selective to the sulfhydryl group and could be quantitatively derived.With extract,containing excessive DTNB using cell wall-breaking and derivatives at the same time before the treatment,respectively,using HPLC method,spectroscopic method for real-time detection of edible plant seeds in the content of GSH and P-SH,and sifting the five kinds of edible plant seeds that are rich in GSH and protein thiol.By high performance liquid chromatography determination results found that Hibiscus mutabilis L,west states honey,yellow an egg shaped thing,Elizabeth melon,balsam pear contains a wealth of GSH and protein thiol(P-SH),the Hibiscus mutabilis L sunflower seeds in the sulfhydryl content of GSH and P-SH determination results were 1.1057μmol/g(GSH)and 2.9835μmol/g(P-SH),west states honey seed in the sulfhydryl content of GSH and P-SH determination results were 0.644 1μmol/g and 5.3751μmol/g,The determination results of GSH and P-SH in yellow-egg seeds were 0.7551 μmol/g and 4.2532μmol/g,respectively,respectively.The results of the determination of the sulfhydryl content of GSH and P-SH in the Elizabeth seeds were 1.0318μmol/g and 5.1724μmol/g,respectively.Small molecule sulfhydryl compounds,such as GSH,were not detected in balsam pear seeds,but they contained relatively abundant protein sulfhydryl(P-SH),with a content of 4.0596μmol/g.In this research,the recovery rate of HPLC method was 99.46-101.28%,and the detection limit of GSH and P-SH was 0.0937μmol/g and 0.1394μmol/g,respectively,to meet the requirements of accurate measurement.Among them,has also made the corresponding to each sample to the measurement of fluorescence spectrum and ultraviolet spectrum method found fluorescence spectrometry(GSH)content and uv spectrometry(-SH)the result of the content of basic and chromatographic results are identical with each other.But,including Hibiscus mutabilis L seed chromatographic determination of total sulphur content and ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry is large,the result of the check literature shows that Hibiscus mutabilis L seeds contain plenty of flavonoids,therefore the interference experiment was carried out.Measurement results show that a large number of flavonoids in spectrometry may have an impact,the results lead to the total sulphur content determination results on the high side,and chromatography to determine the add interfering substance of glutathione and had no effect on the determination of total sulphur content of the basic.From what has been discussed above,this research for further screening of thiol compounds in edible plant seeds provides accurate analysis method,and the specific content of thiol compounds in plants provide important data for analysis.
