In recent years,under the call of the state to actively promote the development of cultural and creative industries,the new Chinese furniture has become the focus of furniture industry.At present,taking the domestic market as an example,there are fewer types of new Chinese furniture and uneven design levels.In order to create more products that meet the requirements of the times,we need to explore new research areas and design ideas for the new Chinese furniture design.Chu furniture,as the representative of early furniture in China,occupies an important position in the history of furniture development,and its design features have a very strong reference value to the research of new Chinese furniture.This paper,taking Chu furniture as the research object,combined with the achievements of previous archaeological research,summarized and analyzed the furniture mats,beds,several,cases,screens and screens of the typical categories of Chu.Through the study of the features of Chu furniture's modeling,ornamentation,color and technology,this paper summarizes the design features contained in the furniture of Chu state,and combines modern people's life style and aesthetic interest to apply the characteristic elements to the design of new Chinese furniture,and refine the characteristic elements with the idea of innovation or inheritance,so as to be new in the new Chinese style.The design of style furniture provides reference and guidance.In addition,on the basis of theoretical analysis,the article carried out the actual furniture design and production,and through the early thinking sketches,project modeling and rendering and other design process and through the selection of materials,cutting,cutting,tenon,splicing,polishing,paint and other processes,reproduced the modern furniture development and production process.
