Al-Mg-Si(6XXX)aluminum alloys have been widely used in construction,consumer electronics,automotive industry and aerospace fields due to their high heat-treatability,high ductility and good deformability.In addition,compared with the Al-Cu,Al-Zn and Al-Mg series aluminum alloys,6XXX aluminum alloys have also better weldability and corrosion resistance.6063 aluminum alloys is the most widely have used one in all 6 XXX series aluminum alloys.And in all 6063 aluminum alloy products,electronics products have always occupied a considerable share of usage.With the development of new materials and processes,metal materials for mobile phones have also been rapidly developed and the combination between the aluminum alloys with mobile phones has been an epoch-making innovation in the history of the development of mobile phone.As the most important products of consumer electronics,aluminum alloy phone shells have developed rapidly in recent years.Due to the strict requirements for aluminum alloy mobile phone,some-product defects often occur during the extrusion process,such as black lines,grain pattern,coarse grains,and air holes,which seriously hinders the improvement of extrusion efficiency and product yield.In particular,of black lines and grain patterns seriously affect the practical production.In this work,the grain patterns and black lines of 6063 aluminum alloy phone shell were studied and analyzed,and their morphology,characteristics and reasons for their appearance were discussed.By adjusting and optimizing the aging process of aluminum alloy profiles,the effects of different aging processes on mechanical properties,microstructure,hardness and corrosion resistance of 6063 aluminum alloy profiles were studied.The main research contents of this paper are summarized as follows:(1)Through the microscopic and macroscopic observation of the black line and the grain pattern defect of 6063 aluminum alloy plate,the metallographic features of the defect-free and defective areas were compared.The defect mechanism was studied and corresponding improvement measures were formulated.(2)The air-cooled and water-cooled quenching treatments for 6063 aluminum alloy plates were carried out and the effects of different quenching methods on the tensile strength of the plates were analyzed.Finally,the optimal quenching treatment method for 6063 aluminum alloy cell phone plates was obtained.(3)The aging treatments of different process systems for 6063 aluminum alloy plates of mobile phone were performed,and the effects of aging process systems on their mechanical properties,corrosion resistance,surface hardness,grain size and coarse grain layer thickness were investigated.Finally,the most suitable aging process system for 6063 aluminum alloy plates was studied.
