Gallium is a kind of important rare metal,widely used in electronic industry,mobile communication,low melting point alloy,cold solder and instrument industry,known as the "food of the electronics industry".With the continuous development of the application of gallium,the growing demand for gallium,the price also rose all the way.Therefore,it is very important to find a kind of economical and practical method for separating and recovering gallium.At present,the source of coarse gallium is mainly in the process of producing aluminum oxide.In recent years,the comprehensive utilization of fly ash has become a hot research topic.The technology of producing alumina by using fly ash is becoming more and more mature,and it is found that the rare metal gallium in fly ash can also be exploited and utilized.This research thro?gh the study of the mineralogy and geochemical of primary mineable coal bed in Pingshuo found that the gallium is enrichment in the coal,meanwhile,the combustion products further study in Pingshuo mining area found that the content of aluminain the fly ash has reached 48% andgallium content has reached the industrial recovery of utilization index.In this study,Pingshuo high aluminum fly ash as raw materials,using single factor and orthogonal test.The optimal method of extracting metal gallium from high alumina coal ash was put forward based on the principle of high extraction rate,low cost and no pollution.Roasting test conditions: The quality ratio of 40 mesh,coal ash and sintering agent(sodium carbonate and calcium carbonate)is 1:1:1,the roasting temperature is 1100 degrees Celsius,and the roasting time is 80 minutes.Alkali leaching test conditions: 16% sodium carbonate alkali concentration,leaching temperature of 120 DEG C,alkali 2L,extraction time 70 min,the leaching rate of 69%;a carbonation test conditions: pH 11,temperature 65.Resin adsorption test conditions: 1g resin adsorption 5.2 x 103?g gallium,adsorption temperature 40 degrees Celsius,adsorption time 5h,adsorption rate of 70%.Sulfuric acid analysis: 1g saturated resin,2mol/L sulfuric acid 50 ml,the analytical temperature of 20 degrees C,analytical time 2h,the resolution rate of 85%.Electrolysis: the concentration of sodium hydroxide in the electrolyte 2~3mol/L,current 200 mA,voltage 4V,electrolytic tank temperature 40.Thro?gh this method,the extraction of gallium from high alumina fly ash,the material saving,the full use of waste resources,improve the industrial value of fly ash and economic efficiency.
