Mine water inrush has been one of the main factors that restrict the development of coal industry in China. With the increasing of mining depth, the groundwater pressure become bigger and bigger, and more prone to water inrush caused by high water pressure. In order to explore the characteristics of the infrared radiation and the precursor characteristics of rock loading and rupture under water pressure, the comparison experiments were carried out under three different conditions,no water,no pressure water and confined water. The model used in the experiment are siltstones, limestones and granites with non through hole. The temporal and spatial evolution characteristics of infrared radiation under three conditions are analyzed, and the main results are as follows:1)Before the inflow, the infrared radiation temperature curve of three kinds of rock will show up sudden changes. This kind of change can be used as a precursor to the water inrush. The lowest infrared radiant temperature of the siltstone has changed dramatically. The temperature of the limestone is still in the process of increasing trend. The infrared temperature curve of granite appears "rise and fall".2)The location of the water inrush is consistent with the infrared thermal image and this can be used to predict the water position.Siltstones will come up a high temperature anomaly before water seepage.Limestone and granite come up low temperature anomaly areas, and this can indicate the location of water inrush.3)The precursor of rock inrush is earlier in the space than in the time.In the time, the sequence of the precursors are granite, limestone, and siltstone. In the space, the order of the precursors is granite, powder and limestone.4)Under the condition of water pressure(0.5 MPa),rock fracture water inrush is a gradually evolving process.According to the water ascending, water inrush process can be divided into four phases, namely "water seepage, water, drench water, water gushing".Experimental results provide a reference for the infrared monitoring of water inrush.
