The using of rotor spinning is becoming more and more wide with the development of technology,not only can be used for high-quality knitting yarns but also for low twist yarns,slub yarns,S-twist yarns,core-spinning yarns and some other kinds of yarn.But because one type of opening roller can only be used one type of fibers and easily cause damage to them,the rotor blending yarn hasn’t made a good progress.In this paper,we designed a rotor spinning device which has two feeding and two carding institutions to solve that problem and used two different opening roller to spin the blended yarns.This paper had done series of research about the rotor spinning box’s design,mount,adjust and spin.Fist,this paper analyzed the background of the topic,summarized the problems of rotor spinning in this time and proposed how to solve them.Then determined the topic of this paper---Research on the double-carding technology of rotor spinning.Secondly,the design of the new double-carding box is the main task of this paper,and referring to the CU-type spinning device of Jingwei F1612 rotor spinning machine,it gave several different designs of the feeding and carding institutions and describe the layout of the spinning device,and then choose the design to machining.When the double carding spinning device’s design was completed,we mounted it on the single-head spinning machine and adjusted the drives and the other parts to ensure it at the better state.The experiment shows the double-carding box can be mounted in the spinning machine and can be used.Third,we used the machine do multiple experiments to test its function of spinning.The success of the experiments shows the double-carding technology of rotor spinning is feasible;comparing with the general rotor spinning yarns,we can get that the double-carding machine has no significant difference between the ordinary,but better than it in some extent.Comparison of mechanical properties of different feeding methods,we can get the feeding method has no deep effect on the quality of pure cotton yarns.The feeding method can’t change the roundness of the yarns and can’t affect the vertical shape through contrast roundness and surface structure of the yarns.Contrast the quality of polyester-cotton blended yarn we can get:the double-carding rotor spinning box can improve the quality of blended yarn.Finally,in order to study the impact from the opening roller and carding process to the fiber damage,the paper analyzed the relationship between the opening roller’s model,speed,carding time and the rate of short fiber.And obtained the three factors can make damage to the fiber together,and the impact of these factors is model,speed and time.The experiments shows how the opening roller can influence the fiber ’s damage and provide the necessary of the double-carding technology.Through the success of double-carding rotor spinning box,on one side it can prove the feasibility of double-carding rotor spinning technology,on the other hand it provide us a new way to produce blending rotor yarns,so it has a very broad prospects.
