The lattice modification technology we proposed,which is based on the theory of liquid ammonia finishing of fabric,treats linen fiber or yarn by liquid ammonia.There are fewer reaches on liquidammonia treatment of linen fiber both at home and abroad,because most studies focus on the areas of liquid ammonia finishing of cotton or linen fabric.The equipment of lattice modification of linen fiber.this paper motioned is designed and developed independently.It is used to conduct liquid ammonia finishing on the stage of fiber.By the studies of the mechanism、the change of the performance of fiber structure and spinning technology,the goal is to provide valuable reference on follow-up linen fiber spinning、weaving、dyeing and finishing,ect.First of all,this paper analyze the mechanism of lattice modification on linen fiber by learning liquid ammonia properties、the composition of linen fiber and the changes of microstructure,etc.The process of lattice modification on linen fiber mainly includes three stages:the first,Liquid ammonia rapidly penetrates to the crystalline region,disassembled or destructing the original hydrogen bond network between cellulose macromolecular;the second,Liquid ammonia and hydroxyl combine to replace the hydrogen bond of original macromolecular to form ammonia-cellulose compound;the third,the swelling and disassembling of crystal lattice,reduces the crystalline of fiber and orientation degree and increases the noncrystalline region;the fourth,When removing the internal liquid ammonia,the molecular of linen fiber rearranges,ammonia-cellulose compound turn to cellulose III,the internal buckling stress reduced or disappeared.Secondly,this paper researches the influence on morphology,microstructure and strong stretch performance of linen fiber,after lattice modification.By the method of scanning electron microscope(SEM)method、X-diffraction test and single fiber strength test instrument YG(B)003A,this paper conclude the crystallinity of linen fiber and orientation.The result of lattice modification is the reduce of linen fiber fineness,the rounder fiber cross section,the smaller inner cavity,the smoother fiber surface,the lower crystalline of fiber and orientation degree,the little increase of fiber strength,the improvement of the elongation at break.Finally,this paper puts forward suitable spinning process for pure linen、blended yam or Core-spun yam for linen fiber after lattice modification.the common features of the latter two spinning method is to play two or more fiber advantages and avoid their disadvantages,in order to improve the characteristics of linen product and make linen textile more diversified,serialized,valuable,and more adaptable to the demand of market.
