Methyl tert-butyl ether(MTBE)is a component of oxygenated gasoline with high-octane value,mainly used for gasoline additive to obtain high octane value and lead-free gasoline.Methanol recovery system is important component part of MTBE production process,but it usually existence serious problems of corrosion and high energy consumption in china.Choose YUE YANG XINGCHANG PETRO-CHEMICAL CO.LTD as an example,which own 135,000 t/year of MTBE unit,analysis its serious corrosion and high energy consumption problem of methanol recovery system during the production and propose relevant solving measures through qualitative analysis corrosion combined with the electrochemical mechanism of corrosion.Using simulation software PROII and KG-TOWER used for methanol recovery system process simulation and hydraulics calculation and Combing with the actual processing load,the author suggest optimization scheme of the existing technological process and give the reasons as follows: The corrosion of methanol recovery system is mainly caused by electrochemical corrosion,while the high energy consumption is caused by the long-term low load operation.According to the research result,it can take use of butane tower of upstream gas separation device to avoid the equipment corrosion and remove the metal impurities by used gas separation unit.Using methanol extraction trays instead of stainless steel 304 sieve plate can avoid the formation of rust which can affect the production operation;By reasonable controlling feeding alfin ratio and temperature of reaction bed ?80 ?,it can avoid the consequences of high temperature catalyst sulfonic acid falling off and the reactor catalyst in bed layer run into the follow-up system and increase export filter reactor.Through periodical detection to the pH value of methanol circulating water and partially or completely replacing the extracted water according to the overrun degree of the pH value,it can control pH of the methanol circulating extraction water ? 5.5.At the same time,we merged two methanol recovery system of MTBE units to promote processing load of single device,which can save energy costs 2.57 million yuan.
