The Qulong copper polymetallic ore field consists of rongmucuola, zhibula and langmujiaguo deposits, which are located in the northern margin of Gondwana continent and the eastern part of the volcano magma arc on the continental margin of Gangdise, the secondary structural unit of Gangdise Nianqing Tanggula plate. There are a lot of researches on the Qulong ore field, including geological features, chronology characteristics and the source of ore-forming materials. After years of exploration, the Qulong ore field has saved a large amount of engineering-controlled drilling and core cataloging and sampling test data, but the predecessors have not conducted systematic research on this. This paper relies on the project of “Compiling a series of 1: 50,000 copper polymetallic ore potential evaluation in the eastern section of the Gangdise metallogenic belt”,using petrology, big data information extraction, mathematical statistics and GIS to analyze the Qulong ore field. The research content mainly includes basic research, the relationship between single-element mineralization and surrounding rock, the relationship between multi-element mineralization and surrounding rock.Combined with previous studies, systematically summarize the characteristics of the relationship between mineralization and surrounding rock in the Qulong ore field, and discusses the metallogenic process, deposit genesis, and prospecting direction. The main results are as follows:(1)There are as many as 50 types of natural rocks on the drilling in the study area, which can be classified into 14 categories including five categories: sedimentary rocks, volcanic rocks, intrusive rocks, thermal metamorphic rocks, and hydrothermal related rocks. It is mainly composed of sedimentary rocks, with the largest distribution range of medium-acid intrusive rocks and acidic intrusive rocks;the second is volcanic rocks, among which the unclassified volcanic rocks have the largest distribution range and cumulative thickness;and the other are hydrothermal rocks,of which the skarn distribution range and cumulative thickness are the largest; The distribution range of other rocks is small and scattered.(2)Mineralization classification can finely characterize the characteristics of mineralization and the relationship between mineralization and surrounding rock.According to the associated grade, boundary grade and industrial grade of the basic analysis data, copper and molybdenum mineralization can be divided into three levels of A(associated mineralization),B(boundary mineralization),and C(industrial mineralization).Mainly grade B mineralization, accounting for 57.15% above the associated grade, followed by grade A mineralization, accounting for 41.79%,grade C mineralization is the least, accounting for only 1.06%;molybdenum mineralization is mainly grade A mineralization,Accounting for 69.43% above the associated grade, followed by grade B mineralization, accounting for 27.22%,and grade C mineralization is the least, accounting for only 3.35%.(3)The study on the relationship between copper mineralization and surrounding rock shows that there is no selectivity of copper mineralization to surrounding rock in the study area. There are different levels of copper mineralization and different types of copper mineralization combinations in all kinds of rocks. There are differences in rock types and natural types involved in different levels of mineralization and different types of mineralization combinations.Different levels of mineralization and different types of mineralization combinations in all kinds of rocks It is possible to occur in,and the plane distribution of rock types involved in various levels of mineralization and various types of mineralization combinations in a single borehole is very similar to the plane distribution of rock types in a single borehole. The higher the number of rock types involved in various levels of mineralization and various types of mineralization combinations in a single borehole, the higher the number of rock types involved in a single borehole, more fully indicating Copper Mineralization is not selective for rocks.(4)The study on the relationship between molybdenum mineralization and surrounding rock shows that there is no selectivity of molybdenum mineralization to surrounding rock in the study area. There are different levels of molybdenum mineralization and different types of molybdenum mineralization combinations in all kinds of rocks.Different levels of mineralization and different types of mineralization combinations involve different rock types and natural rock types.Different levels of mineralization and different types of mineralization combinations in all kinds of rocks It is possible to occur in,and the plane distribution of rock types involved in various levels of mineralization and various types of mineralization combinations in a single borehole is very similar to that in a single borehole. The higher the number of rock types involved in various levels of mineralization and various types of mineralization combinations in a single borehole, the higher the number of rock types involved in a single borehole, more fully indicating molybdenum Mineralization is not selective for rocks.(5)The study of the relationship between copper and molybdenum mineralization structure and surrounding rock shows that there are many types of mineralization structures in the area, including all types of mineralization structures, and all types of rocks contain different types of mineralization structures. There are multiple high-value centers, and the distribution of mineralization structures in the area is not uniform, indicating that the mineralization in the area is complex and has the characteristics of multi-type and multi-stage hydrothermal superposition.(6)Based on the study of the relationship between mineralization and surrounding rock, combined with the previous research results,it is considered that Qulong ore field is a hydrothermal filling type deposit closely related to magmatic activity, and the mineralization is affected by multiple hydrothermal activities. Therefore, the study area has a good prospect in the periphery and deep.
