Analysis On Geological Characteristics And Prospecting Potential Of Shuiquangou Iron Deposit In Urad Front Banner,Inner Mongolia

The study area is located in the Au-Fe-Nb-Re-Cu-Pb-Zn-Ag-Ni-Pt-W-graphite muscovite metallogenic belt,and the Au-Ag-Fe-Cu-Pb-Zn metallogenic subbelt,and the muscovite ore concentration area in Mount Ulla,China.The aeromagnetic survey at scale of 1:50,000 in the area of Bayannur of Baotou has found many abnormal areas with rich or large magnetite in the outcrop area of the Ula Mt group.The study of magnetite deposits in these areas is helpful to find economically valuable magnetite deposits.This paper combines the characteristics of typical iron deposits in prospecting cases,such as "Inner Mongolia Urad Front Banner Iron Deposit Survey".This paper comprehensively studies the characteristics and metallogenic regularity of the Shuiquangou Iron Deposit,and discusses the prospecting potential of the iron deposit.The Shuiquangou iron deposit occurs in the garnet-bearing biotite amphibole plagioclase gneiss member and biotite amphibole plagioclase gneiss member of the Middle Archean Group of the ULA mountains,the ore bodies occur in stratiform and quasi-stratiform.The sedimentary rhythm in the ore bodies is obvious,the occurrence is consistent with the strata,and the ore has obvious structural characteristics of sedimentary metamorphism.The deposit is formed by regional metamorphism of marine sedimentary strata,with obvious felsic dikes penetrating into it,simple mineral composition and iron-siliceous sedimentary metamorphism.Based on the analysis of the characteristics of the iron deposit in Shuiquangou mining area,it is determined that the ore-controlling factors are strata occurrence and sedimentary initial topography,intrusionform and structure(fold and fualt),and the indicators of strata,geophysics and structure prospecting are established.Based on the comprehensive analysis of the ore-forming geological conditions,ore-controlling factors,prospecting criteria and existing basic data of the iron ore deposit(magnetite)in the ULA rock group in the study area,this paper points out the prospecting direction and potential in the future in the study area.
