Digitalization,informatization and networking are the major trends of the development of the times.More and more attention has been paid to "digital mine" by mineral collection industry,and more and more attention has been paid to digital geological data by urban planners.The traditional 3D geological data visualization software mostly stays in the C / S mode,generally need to download plug-ins,which is time-consuming and difficult to meet the requirements of rapid transmission of geological information.With the maturity and perfection of webgl technology,3D geological visualization on Web based on B / S mode becomes possible.B / S users can easily use it in the browser without installing any software on the client,which is of great significance for the rapid transmission and use of geological information.Based on the existing research,this paper analyzes and summarizes the research status of 3D geological model and 3D visualization platform,and studies the key technologies such as HTML5 and Java Script.In this paper,a set of 3D irregular volume element model is designed based on 3D spatial drilling data.Firstly,the borehole data is discretized,and then the volume element vertex data is obtained by four grid cubic B-spline interpolation,and then the irregular volume element model is constructed.Then,with the help of webgl technology,the 3D geological visualization is realized without plug-in in in the browser.In this paper,a variety of interactive functions are realized in the 3D geological visualization platform,including translation,rotation,attribute display,profile exploration and other functions.In order to solve the problem of 3D model cutting,this paper designs a cutting method based on the idea of Weiler Atherton clipping algorithm,which is suitable for 3D model cutting of irregular volume elements in web pages.And use the visual platform to realize.In this paper,based on WebGL technology,the development of a threedimensional visualization platform for irregular block models is carried out,and interactive functions such as profile exploration are realized.In the 3D visualization system,the display effect of the 3D model of the geological body is superior,and the cross-platform performance of the 3D visualization system is good,and the running performance is good,which has certain reference significance for the development of 3DGIS and Web GIS systems.
