Geological disasters occur frequently in our country, and the economic loss and casualties caused by landslides are countless every year. With the continuous development of engineering construction in our country, the position of slope prevention and control is increasingly significant. Therefore,as a major problem in disaster prevention and control, slope engineering is not only the research object of researchers, but also the focus of engineers. This paper introduces a new numerical theoretical solution of slope and retaining wall, and puts forward the stability analysis method of slope and retaining wall combined with the calculation results. The specific research contents and results are as follows:(1)Taking the application of retaining wall in slope prevention and control engineering as the theme, this paper summarizes the research status of domestic and foreign researchers on slope, sums up the solution and application scope of current slope safety coefficient, introduces the development process of classical earth pressure theory and the research results of retaining wall at home and abroad for the related research on the stability of retaining wall.(2)The traditional calculation methods of slope and retaining wall stability are studied: for the stability of slope, the landslide thrust is calculated by the traditional unbalanced thrust method and the overall stability coefficient of slope is obtained;for the stability of retaining wall, the magnitude of earth pressure is calculated, and the traditional checking calculation methods of anti sliding, anti overturning and foundation bearing capacity of retaining wall are explained. At the same time, the checking calculation methods of anti sliding, anti overturning and foundation bearing capacity of retaining wall are listed The possible failure modes and influencing factors of the earth wall.It is found that there are many assumptions in the traditional design method of slope prevention and control, and the results can not really reflect the stress state of the slope and retaining structure, and most of the assumptions are inconsistent with the actual project, there is a certain controversy, for the complex situation, the calculation results are quite different from the actual project.(3)This paper introduces a new stress theory solution, which can solve the stress and strain distribution of the slope, and is extended to the solution of the stress and strain of the retaining wall.At the same time,on the basis of the stress distribution of the slope and the retaining wall,a new stability analysis method is proposed: for the stability of the slope, the stability evaluation idea of the point and surface body is established, which can better analyze the local to the whole of the slope For the stability of the retaining wall, the overall strength and the bearing capacity of the foundation are checked by comparing the obtained stress distribution with the characteristics of the material structure. At the same time,a new anti sliding stability coefficient is defined to describe the stability of the base surface and even any point in the wall.(4)Taking the landfill project in Shenlongxi area as an example, the stability of the slope and retaining wall of the project is analyzed by the traditional method and the numerical theory method respectively.Compared with the traditional results, the rationality of this method is verified. The anti sliding force of the retaining wall calculated in this paper includes the positive pressure and shear force along the contactsurface, and the stress changes with the deformation of the slope. In addition, from the numerical theoretical solution of the retaining wall,it can be seen that the shape and material of the retaining wall can be optimized according to the calculation results, which can provide the design basis for the prevention and control of the slope.
