Research On The Calculation And Influencing Factors Of Total Factor Productivity Of China's Service Industry Based On DEA-malmquist Index

From the agricultural economy to the industrial economy,and then to the service economy is the objective development law of human society.Since the 1990 s,with the inclination of national policies,the proportion of service industry has been rising continuously,and the service industry has developed rapidly and gradually become the leading force in the national economy.Based on Baumol's "cost disease" theory and international experience,it can be found that low productivity of service industry,which plays a leading role in the national economy,will restrain economic growth.After China's economy enters the new normal,whether the service industry with an important strategic position can become a new driving force to support the sustained,medium and high-speed growth of China's economy,and whether it can create new economic growth points in the critical stage of China's economic transformation needs in-depth analysis.In this context,based on the full consideration of capital,technology and other factors of production,this paper uses DEA Malmquist index method to measure and decompose the total factor productivity of China's service industry in2003-2017,explore its real development level and the driving force behind it,and build a model to analyze how each variable affects the total factor productivity of China's service industry.In the empirical analysis On the basis of empirical analysis,the paper puts forward some suggestions on how to improve TFP to achieve the high quality development of China's service industry.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter mainly introduces the research background,research purpose and significance,research content and methods,and summarizes the research and conclusion of TFP in service industry in this research field by combing the relevant literature at home and abroad;the second chapter explains the concept and related theoretical basis of TFP in detail,and compares and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of each measurement method;the third and fourth chapters are the main chapters of this paper?The third chapter introduces DEA model and Malmquist index method in detail,which provides the theoretical basis for the calculation and decomposition of service industry TFP.The calculation results show that: on the whole,the growth rate of service industry TFP in China presents a trend of volatility and upward trend.Although the technical progress and technical efficiency are both positive growth,the technical progress is the service industry TFP The main driving force of TFP,while the positive growth of technical efficiency comes from technical effect rather than scale effect;on the area,the regional division method of eight comprehensive economic zones is used to comprehensively analyze the regional differences of service industry TFP,and the service industry TFP and its decomposition factors in each economic zone are quite different;the fourth chapter constructs a model for the explained variables through the TFP calculation results in the previous chapter,exploring the impact of each explanatory variable on the TFP of the service industry,the results show that the level of marketization and the scale of service industry have a positive effect on service industry TFP.The level of urbanization and the level of human capital are also important factors to promote the growth of service industry TFP.However,due to the unreasonable distribution of foreign capital inflow and the "extensive" economic development mode,foreign direct investment and economic development level have negative effects on service industry TFP.Based on the calculation results and empirical analysis of the previous two chapters,the fifth chapter sums up the conclusions and puts forward corresponding policy suggestions:(1)actively promote factor marketization and reshape the main body of market economy;(2)further promote the process of urbanization and change the mode of economic development;(3)promote the deep integration of Internet and service industry to improve the technical efficiency of China's service industry;(4)guide the reasonable inflow of FDI in service industry,and promote the TFP of service industry by two-way FDI in service industry;(5)increase the investment of human capital and promote the reasonable flow of human capital.
