Panzhihua located at the junction of Sichuan and Yunnan in southwest China,is a typical mountainous city in hot and dry valleys.Its geographical environment of high mountain and deep valley determines that the wind field near the bottom of the city is greatly influenced by the geographical and urban spatial morphology.Wind environment is an important factor determines the comfort degree of urban external space,and the local wind field inside the city is greatly influenced by its spatial form.The scientific use of wind field and microclimate technology is an assistant and test of urban design.The goal of urban design is to create and improve the quality of urban environment.The starting point of design is to construct safe,healthy,livable,functional and quality urban space.From the view of the coupling between urban spatial form and wind environment,this study take Ganbatang District of Panzhihua City as an example,discussed the comfort of outdoor space wind environment caused by urban spatial form in the existing urban design scheme of Panzhihua City.Through physical detection of the field environment,ArcGIS geographic information model and numerical wind tunnel simulation of CFD technology,the city of this area was set up.The local wind environment after the implementation of the plan is simulated,checked from the rational point of view of thermal comfort,searched for the logic and mode of space generation in urban design from the latitude of urban wind environment;analyzed the urban texture,road grid bureau,green space and wetland system,public space,building layout and other aspects from macro,meso and micro levels.The internal coupling relationship between the comfort of the external space wind environment and the urban physical space form of the scheme is discussed.Based on the coupling optimization of the urban physical space form and the wind field,the urban design language is used reasonably to guide the urban canopy quality and energy circulation system,such as the topographic effect on airflow,energy radiation effect and green space transpiration.According to the relevant indexes of urban thermal comfort,the technical means of optimizing the wind environment for improving the overall ventilation performance of the city and the local wind comfort in the pedestrian area of public space under the premise of maintaining its regional development goals and land development intensity as far as possible are put forward.According to the research results,the optimization scheme of urban design in Ganbatang area is completed,and the optimized urban design scheme model is brought into CFD system for numerical wind tunnel simulation.After comparing the ventilation performance index and wind environment comfort index of all urban design schemes before and after optimization,the rationality and reality of the optimized urban design scheme are verified.Applicability;The whole process analyzed the theoretical principles,related difficulties and technical means involved in the process of wind environment research from modeling to CFD numerical wind tunnel simulation in mountain cities with complex geographical environment;summarized the optimization strategies and improvement measures adopted by cities with similar climate environment in outdoor wind environment optimization design.
