Due to the restrictions of previous 3D seismic data acquisition in the main structural zone of Liuguanzhuang(LGZ)area in Dagang Oilfield, the quality of seismic data was limited by the equipment and technical level of exploration at that time, and the lack of resolution severely hampered the process of further exploration in this area. For the sustainable and steady development of Dagang Oilfield in the future and continuous searching for high-quality potential oil and gas reservoir blocks,it is necessary to carry out detailed target acquisition, processing and research on oil reservoirs in the oil and gas-rich areas.Based on the field seismic acquisition project, this paper studies the high-density 3D seismic exploration of LGZ area from two aspects, exploration theory and filed application. The main influencing factors in field seismic data acquisition and data processing were summarized in view of the seismic geological conditions of the study area, and the corresponding technical methods to improve the acquisition quality to a great extent to solve the related geological problems were proposed, too. The main task is aiming at the fulfillment of this seismic exploration and forming an applicable high-density seismic exploration method for the geological environment in Dagang Oilfield. Finally, the acquisition results was analyzed. The consistent high-quality data of the whole area is relatively stable and clear as revealed by the high signal to noise ratio and resolution, which is fundamental to target the buried hills and various types of traps beneath the buried hill,as well as to discover and delineate surrounding deep, small buried hill traps.
