The seismic records were in low S/N ratio. According to the efforts in 30 yearsespecially since 2001, the quality of seismic records had been gradually enhanced.But the weathering layer and subsurface structure are very complicated hence goodquality seismic records are required for geological interpretation. And seismicacquisition is the key step for enhancing seismic quality.The factors which affect seismic records' quality should be shooting andreceiving. Via the studying of seismic acquisition in Tarim area, some understandingshave recognized for shooting and receiving methods:⑴ Multi-methods which combined each other to survey the weathering layer issuitable for Tarim area.⑵ The noise detection and suppression methods based on box survey can beused for analyze the dynamics characters of nose. Multi-geophone areal array cansuppress noise effectively. Estimate the S/N ratio of field records through the boxsurvey can provide useful dataset for seismic acquisition planning.⑶ Hole depth should be 3-5m under the top of dynamite. And metal-added andbigger diameter dynamite are the suitable shooting method in this area.⑷ According to the absorbing and attenuation of sand dune, the geophone shouldbe buried under the depth of 40-60cm. it can effectively suppress the random noiseand reduce the attenuation of sand dune for seismic wave. The quality of deep layerhas hence be enhanced.⑸ High density single receiver and digital geophone acquisition method havebeen proved and got good results and is the direction we should go next step forimproving seismic quality.
