Although people's income level is constantly rising, the haze, water and soil pollution have seriously damaged people's good life.China's producer services account for about 20% of GDP,while those in western developed countries account for 40-50% of GDP.The 2018 government work report highlights the need to continuously upgrade the modern service industry and make industri al clusters bigger and stronger so as to transform traditional industries. How to give full play to the agglomeration of producer services is of great significance to the green and innovative development of regional economy.Firstly, this paper expounds relevant theories and literature review of producer services agglomeration, green total factor productivity and its influence on green total factor productivity. Then it analyzes the influence mechanism of producer services agglomeration on green total factor productivity.Producer services agglomeration can affect green total factor productivity through economies of scale, technological progress, industrial structure adjustment and spatial spillover effect.Empirically,283 prefecture-level cities were selected as samples to analyze the current situation of producer services agglomeration in China and green total factor productivity was measured by SBM directional distance function and Malmquist-Luen-berger productivity index based on non-expected output. Then the spatial econometrics method is used to make an empirical study on the impact of producer services agglomeration on green total factor productivity. The results show that green total factor productivity shows spatial difference and spatial significant positive correlation, and specialized agglomeration and diversified agglomeration significantly improve green total factor productivity.Specialized agglomeration has negative spillover effect on green total factor productivity while diversified agglomeration has insignificant spillover effect on green total factor productivity. In terms of sub-regions,producer services agglomeration in the eastern region has a greater promoting effect on green factor productivity than that in the central and western regions.Diversified agglomeration in key environmental protection cities can effectively improve green total factor productivity while in non-key environmental protection cities, specialization and diversified agglomeration can promote green total factor productivity.According to the decomposition of green total factor productivity, both agglomeration patterns promote the improvement of technical efficiency, but have no significant impact on technical progress.According to the empirical results, promoting the formation of producer services agglomeration areas or functional parks, guiding the gradient transfer of the producer services among different regions and cities of different grades, focusing on diversification agglomeration on the basis of local industry rooting and emphasizing the construction of infrastructure platform for producer services will be conducive to improving China's green total factor productivity.
