The surface structure of poultry feathers is a complex structures in nature world and an ideal bionic research object.In this paper,four kinds of poultry feathers are taken as a sampled,the high polymer PDMS bionic film with the micro-structure of the feather surface is prepared by soft etching,and the micro-structure observation,infrared spectral analysis,hydrophobic/oleophobic determination,surface free energy and PDMS bionic film antibacterial inhibition evaluation are carried out.Key research includes:(1)Through the observation of optical microscope and scanning electron microscope,four poultry feathers and PDMS bionic film structure has sits three main types: nodular barbules,distal barbules and proximal barbules.The reverse feather branchlets are arranged in a tile-like imbricate arrangement scaled,and the PDMS bionic film completely reproduce the micro-structure of the feather surface.(2)By infrared spectrometer determination,the carbohydrates,lipid,protein and so on on the surface of poultry feathers are the main components of lipids such as higher unitary alcohol and high fatty acids on the surface of feathers,and are also one of the reasons for the hydrophobic/oleophobic of the surface of feathers.(3)Four kinds of poultry feathers and PDMS biomimetic films all have hydrophobic characteristics.Pigeon feather PDMS biomimetic films have hydrophobic/oleophobic.The other three poultry feather PDMS bionic films have hydrophobic and oleophobicity,and the four poultry feathers and PDMS bio-film resistance against the wetting of organic solvents with lower concentrations,which gradually decrease with the increasing concentration of organic solvents,their amphiphobicity gradually decreasesuntil they change from oleophobic to lipophilic.(4)According to the surface free energy measurement results,the surface freeenergy of the detection solution is higher than that of the four kinds of poultry feathers and the solid surface free energy of the PDMS bionic film.Therefore,the good hydrophobic/oleophobic of the four kinds of poultry feathers and the PDMS bionic film is related to the rough structure and chemical composition of the surface.(5)The antibacterial results of PDMS biomimetic films showed that the four kinds of poultry feather PDMS biomimetic films had antibacterial,but their antibacterial effects gradually weakened with the increase of time.Antibacterial of bionic film is realized through physical and chemical effects.Microscopic surface structural materials with hydrophobic/oleophobic and antibacterial characteristics can be applied to the medical and health fields,reduce the abuse of bacteriostatic antibiotics and environmental pollution,and show broad application prospects.
