Disc skimmer's characteristics is simple structure,handiness.It is widely used in oil spill receiving.For a long time,the design of disc skimmer mainly relies on experience and experiment,lack of systematic and in-depth research,and high cost of experimental research,which limits the upgrading and optimization of disc skimmer.This paper is applied the method of numerical simulation to study oil receiving on disc skimmer,and provide reference for optimization design of disc skimmer,the research results can also be extended to the biological wastewater treatment,industrial polyester production.I used FLUENT software to numerical simulation research on disc skimmers oil process,analyzes the influence factors of disc surface film thickness characteristics and mass flow about oil disc size,speed,thickness,spacing,roughness and oil viscosity,density,surface tension,reservoir thickness and other factors.The last,through the disc with oil experiment proved the validity of the numerical simulation method.Through numerical simulation analysis,it can be seen that the discs have the same membrane flow characteristics on both sides of the disc.The disc is immersed in the surface with a small amount of air bubbles.The farther away from the disc,the disc has less binding force on the surrounding fluid.The thickness of the oil film decreases gradually.The orthogonal numerical simulation method was used to analyze several factors that have a large influence on the oil carrying performance.Through the orthogonal test simulation results,it can be seen that the disc diameter> immersion depth> oil viscosity> disc rotating speed> oil layer thickness> disc spacing,and structural parameter design was given priority to the design of important parameters.It is found that thickness of the oil lay is among 20~ 60 mm,the influence of the oil layer is great.The more the oil layer is,the more the oil is.The larger and the optimum rotation speed of the disc is not favorable to the surface oil film of the disc,it is generally in the range of 60~ 120 rpm.The viscosity has a great influence on the oil receiving performance.When the viscosity is less than 30mPa·s,it is more difficult to form the oil film.With disc size large,the oil receiving capacity is the better.The oil receiving capacity is higher with the disc immersion deeper,The actual working condition is that the depth should be slightly smaller than the radius of the disc.When the spacing of the disc is greater than 70 mm,the influence of the spacing on the oil receiving capacity is not obvious.The effect of roughness,oil density,disc thickness and surface tension are small that of oil receiving.The study found that the oil receiving volume of 80 rpm is the largest on the actual oil receiving of the rotary disc.According to the traditional way of collecting oil,the disc is collected with oil,and the radial flow of the surface oil is increased when the rotating speed is large.Some of the oil is lost from the end face,and the speed is too high to improve the actual oil recovery.Numerical simulation method is used to analyze the disc receiving capacity of many influence factors.It plays a great significance about optimization design of disc skimmer.
