The establishment of the Sun-Interplanetary Subsystem will allow us to have more complete data and research methods, and provide a great guarantee for the application services and support capabilities of space weather in China."Meridian Phase II Project" is a major scientific and technological infrastructure project constructed by the country. It is mainly to reveal the regional characteristics of the country. It uses satellites to obtain high-resolution images of the country ’s near-Earth environment. From the images,we can obtain a clear structure with full coverage of small and medium scales, revealing regional characteristics. In this subsystem, our main research is the IPS telescope. It is used to observe the area about 5-200 Rs away from the surface of the sun.IPS monitoring system includes parabolic cylinder antenna, feed, analog receiver, digital receiver, etc. When selecting the observation frequency point of the telescope, according to the scientists’ experience of interplanetary scintillation observation and the division of frequencies by the International Radio Union,it was found that when the observation frequency is 327 MHz and 654 MHz,the radio source information is relatively rich. The IPS telescope can not only fill the domestic gap,but also achieve various international performance levels. This paper introduces a stacked microstrip Yagi antenna based on Yagi antenna and microstrip antenna as the feed source of IPS astronomical telescope antenna. This article starts from the entire solar-planetary system, introduces the background of IPS,and then leads us to the stacked microstrip Yagi antenna. The current two types of microstrip Yagi antennas are compared, that is,planar microstrip Yagi antennas and stacked microstrip Yagi antennas, and related theories are introduced. Then it analyzes why the stacked microstrip Yagi antenna is selected as the feed source of the IPS astronomical telescope, and some design methods of how to generate dual-band resonance near the two frequency points of 327 MHz and 654 MHz.
