Prebiotics can adjust the structure of intestinal microbial flora and increase the content of beneficial microbial metabolites,so as to improve the function of organisms and inhibit harmful microorganisms.Studies have reported that inulin, fructooligosaccharides, stachyose, and raffinose are commonly used prebiotics, which have a good role in regulating intestinal microorganisms, but there are few studies on how they play a probiotic role.In this experiment,high-dose(25%)and low-dose(5%)inulin,fructooligosaccharides,stachyose,and raffinose were used as dietary interventions in mice, and the mortality, diarrhea rate, and fecal morphology were observed,Changes in intestinal tissue structure, and measurement of mouse feed utilization, weight gain, blood biochemical indicators, organ ratio, intestinal microbial diversity, intestinal wall weight, and other indicators,to evaluate the probiotics of four functional sugars in mice The effect is as follows:1.In the process of different doses of four functional sugars, the mice did not show symptoms such as death and diarrhea.2.The high-dose group of inulin and fructooligosaccharides had an inhibitory effect on the weight of mice, with an average weight loss of 21.93% and 18.79%;the high-dose group of raffinose had a growth-promoting effect, with an average weight increase of 11.44%;Low-dose treatment of raffinose and high-and low-dose treatment of stachyose had no significant effect on body weight of mice. The intake of four functional sugars affected the lipid metabolism of mice, but the difference was not significant.3.The treatment of low-fructose oligodose significantly increased the spleen-body ratio of mice, from 0.26 to 0.73,which significantly increased the proportion of immune organs in mice.High-dose treatment with inulin and fructooligosaccharide reduced the liver-to-body ratio of mice, reducing 20.74% and25.56%,respectively.In the four functional sugar intervention groups, the weight of the cecum contents, colon contents, and intestinal wall of the mice increased to varying degrees, and the feces volume of the mice increased and became soft.4.After the high and low doses of inulin intervention, the propionic acid content in the mouse colon increased significantly by 61.95% and 43.49%;after the stachyoseintervention, the propionic acid content in the intestine also increased significantly;after the intervention of fructooligosaccharide and raffinose,The content of propionic acid and butyric acid in the intestine of mice increased significantly;the other short-chain fatty acids and total acid content did not change significantly in the four functional sugar intervention groups.5.After the functional sugar intervention, the small intestine of the mouse was in a healthy state as a whole, but the crypt depth, mucosal thickness, and muscle mucosal thickness were changed.,The other groups did not change significantly. In terms of mucosal thickness, the high-fructose oligodose group and stachyose high-dose group increased significantly, while the raffinose high-dose group did not change significantly, and the other groups showed significant declines.Fructo-oligosaccharides decreased significantly in the thickness of muscle mucosa, and high doses of raffinose increased significantly. The inulin low dose group, inulin high dose group, low fructooligosaccharide low dose group, and stachyose low dose group all showed a significant decrease in the length of villi, and the other groups did not change significantly.6.After the intervention of inulin and stachyose, the abundance of Bacteroides in the microorganisms of mice increased significantly, with a dose-dependent relationship;the intervention of the high-fructose oligodose group increased the abundance of bifidobacteria in the colon of mice by 17.6%.;Under the high-dose intervention of raffinose, the abundance of Bifidobacterium increased to 63.27%.At the same time, the intake of functional sugars has also increased the abundance of some potential probiotics such as transformed Barnesiella. In summary, the four functional sugars have different probiotic effects on mice, and the cottonseed sugar promotes the proliferation of bifidobacteria. It is recommended that the four functional sugars be used flexibly for different populations.
