This research use morphometric and data analysis to analyz geographical variation of Salamandrella keyserlingii's morphological characteristics in different regions,it provide the basis for intraspecific levels of classification of S.keyserlingii.The breeding habitats of spawning grounds and reproduction of different geographic populations of S.keyserlingii were compared. This will be helpful to understand the evolutionary significance of the different geographical populations of the S.keyserlingii.The result shows:1.The morphological characteristics of male and female of S.keyserlingii shows:Daxinganling population < Xiaoxinganling population < Changbaishan population <Zhangguangcai population, morphological size decreases with increasing latitude.which all violate Bergman's law.2.There are geographical differences in fecundity among the four populations,The number of soawning by female salamanders in Changbaishan population,Zhangguangcai population,Xiaoxinganling population and Daxinganling population is(101.25±3.17),(143.89±6.74),(138.64±4.10)and(124.40±4.24)respectively.There is no consistent linear relationship between female body length and spawning amount in four S.keyserlingii populations. The female body length and spawning amount of Daxinganling population are significantly smaller than that of Xiaoxinganling population, while the female body length of Changbaishan population is significantly larger than that of Zhangguangcailing population, but the spawning amount is significantly smaller than that of Zhangguangcailing population.3.Characteristics of ovulation sites selected by S.keyserlingii in three populations the vegetation type selected by all three populations is forest. The spawning ground base is humus base,pH value > 7;the other 10 habitat factors, soil pype, reproduction area, reproduction deep, altitude, daxinganling disturbance, diurnal temperature difference of water temperature, diurnal temperature difference of surface temperature, forest floor thickness, illumination intensity, earth's surface moisture, are significantly different from each other. The preferred microhabitat for S.keyserlingii to spawn should be: theintensity of human interference is weak;moderate illumination intensity;moderate temperature and humidity;the spawning ground has a large area.deep water depth;hydrostatic waters with pH > 7 and more humus.4.In the habitat factor cluster analysis, the habitat of Changbaishan population is similar to that of Zhangguangcai population, while the habitat of Daxinganling population is similar to both. The comperhensive results show that there are significant geographic variations in the morphological characteristics and breeding habitats of different geographic populations of S.keyserlingii, the main influencing factors are habitat factors such as temperature, precipitation and latitude, the taxonomic status of Changbaishan population and Zhangguangcailing population needs further study.
