Light is an environmental factor that affects the growth and development of animals. Some studies have confirmed that different illumination time, color temperature and light wavelength will affect the breeding of animals.Studying the effects of light on the breeding of mice is helpful to provide new ideas and methods for improving the breeding ability of mammals. In this study, the effects of color temperature and light wavelength on the breeding of ICR mice were studied by using light control system and orthogonal experiment.Four color temperature light sources?3000K,4500K,6000K,6500K?and four light wavelengths?580-680nm,380-480nm,480-580nm,380-780nm?were used to light the4-week-old ICR mice for one month.Samples of females'vaginal smear of oestrus cycle, eggs and serum of M2 period, hypothalamus, zygote and blastocyst were collected. The experimental data of reproductive ability of females, such as body weight, number of pregnant mice, initial weight of pregnant mice, number of litters, number of live weaned mice as well as weight and reproductive ability of the offspring mice were collected. The total litter number, weaning litter number, implantation point and other indicators that can reflect the breeding characteristics of mice were calculated. The experimental results showed that both color temperature and light wavelength had significant effects on the growth and development of mice:1.The effect of color temperature on the breeding of miceFSH of ICR mice at color temperature 3000K was significantly higher than that at color temperature 6500K,while both PRL and PROG were significantly lower. In terms of the growth ability of offspring mice, the weight growth rate of male mice at 5-8 weeks was significantly higher than the color temperature of 6500K.In terms of the reproductive ability of mice, the average weight of newborn mice and the average weight of weaned babies were significantly greater than the color temperature of 6500K.2.Effects of light wavelength on mouse breedingCompared to the control group, during the growth period of 8-11 weeks, the relative weight growth rate of the mice under the light wavelength of 580-680nm gradually increased, and the weight growth rate was significantly higher at the age of 11-13 weeks;Litter number under 380-480nm was significantly higher; The MT,E2,PRL and PROG of ICR mice under580-680nm were significantly higher;PRL and PROG under 480-580nm were significantly higher; The Sox17 under 580-680nm was significantly lower;Oct4 under 580-680nm and380-480nm was significantly higher; The proportion of Nanog cells at 580-680nm and380-480nm was significantly different. In terms of the growth ability of first-generation mice, from 0.5 days of birth to 8 weeks of age, there were significant differences in the relative weight growth rate under 580-680nm.In terms of the reproductive ability of mice, the average birth weight of 580-680nm and the average weight of 380-480nm were significantly lower.Through the experimental study, the optimal scheme of the lighting system for mouse breeding is obtained:In the early postnatal period and lactation period of mice,3000K color temperature lighting environment was recommended, and 580-680nm monochromatic light environment was recommended in adolescence, sexual maturity, body maturity and middle and old age.In the next step,It is suggested to start from the Angle of the effect of light on hormone, and looking for genes and corresponding proteins that light affects and regulates reproduction.
