Research On Color Hologram

The principle and methods of making a hologram are described. Two method of making true color hologram are proposed which improve the quality of color hologram prominently. They are named "method of encoding with white light" and "method of scattering reference light" respectively. The dark interfere fringes appearing on a copying hologram with white light is discussed and the method for eliminating the dark interfere fringes is given. A good many factors influence on the quality of color hologram are also discussed and methods against them are described.The method of encoding with white light uses three pieces of coding holographic plates, which are made with single-wavelength laser. The separating red, green and blue color information from a piece of color negative film are recorded respectively on three black and white film with white-light source. The separating red, green and blue color information is then encoded on a piece of holographic plate by the coding holographic plates with white light source. Then reconstruct and record the tricolor information on another holographic plate by rainbow holography. The distinct merit of this method is eliminating the influence of laser spots and easy to achieve low noise, high resolution, accurate true color hologram.Method of scattering reference light is adopting plane object beam and scattering reference beam to make color hologram. So it eliminates the influence of laser spots and color disturbance of slit diffraction. The hologram made with this method is clearer than the ordinary method of making with scatting objective light. It also has the merit of full use of recording laser power and suitable to record large size color hologram. It has a good application prospect in stereoscopic color holography and vertical encoding color holography.
