This paper proposed a signal complexity measurement method based on threshold compression and self-similarity measurement combined with run-length test,which is named spring chaos test.This algorithm contains qualitative and quantitative measurement methods,which are expressed in 3s plot and CC rates,respectively.3s plot mainly uses the theory of multi-threshold compression to identify and analyze chaotic signals.Because the shape of the characteristic curve of the 3s plot resembles a spring,so this algorithm is named spring chaos test.When the curve characteristic of the 3s plot is a regular and intact spring,it is determined that the signal to be detected is periodic;If the curve characteristic of the 3s plot is broken,it is determined that the signal to be detected is chaotic.The 3s plot has 20%noise immunity.CC rate is an algorithm that based on self-similarity measure and quantitatively describes the degree of geometric symmetry of the curve spring shape in the 3s plot.It is a measure of percentage.When the CC rate is[0%,7%],it is determined that the signal to be measured is a periodic signal;If the CC rate of the signal to be measured is(7%,99%),it is determined to be chaotic.When performing global sweeping of chaotic systems,the CC rate has 20%anti-noise capability.In new variable space,numerical analysis of bifurcation graphs is performed to identify single-cycle and multi-cycle.The experimental test results show that the purpose of distinguishing single-cycle and multi-cycle can be achieved initially.For the identification of random signals,periodic signals and chaotic signals,this subject uses a widely used run test to identify them(when the run test results accept the random hypothesis,the CC rate is 100%).After verification of more than ten kinds of chaotic systems,it is initially proved that this research has the advantages of better universality,higher anti-noise ability and no need for manual parameter setting.This study proposes and verifies the new concept,new principle and new application of spring chaos testing,and attempts to add new calculation tools to the scientific complex of signal complexity measurement methods.
