Campus road space is an important part of campus public space,its microclimate environment directly affects the comfort of teachers' and students' outdoor activities and the quality of whole campus microclimate environment.As the period of winter in severe cold region is very long,and the environment of climate in campus road space is windy,cold and dry,which bring inconvenience to teachers' and students' outdoor activities.Therefore,it is meaningful to study on the improvement of campus road microclimate environment in severe cold region.This study is aimed to improve the microclimate of campus road space in severe cold region.Firstly,Based on the study of climate characteristics of severe cold region and the current situation of campus road space,this paper selects the layout of roads and buildings as the main research content affecting road microclimate.Secondly,this paper selects the representative road space of the campus in cold region to do the field measurements.Take the measured data and use it to compare with the simulated data,proves the validity of ENVI-met software numerical simulation.Secondly,use the ENVI-met software to simulate the influence of road's and building's layouts on the micro-climate of road space.Finally,according to the simulation results,from the perspective of road's and building's layouts,proposed the optimization strategy of campus road microclimate in severe cold region.The research found that in terms of road planning and layout: the microclimate is optimal when the road direction is perpendicular to the prevailing wind direction and the long side of the building is parallel to the road direction;the microclimate is also more comfortable when the road direction is inclined with the winter dominant wind direction;when the road direction is parallel to the dominant wind direction,the microclimate environment is the worst.The road aspect ratio should be in the range of 0.6: 1 to 1.2: 1,and the smaller the aspect ratio is,the better the microclimate will be.In terms of the architectural layout and scale of the campus road space: when the building layout is oblique and enclosed form,the microclimate quality is the best;when the building forms a one-sided enclosure and a two-sided enclosure on the side of the dominant wind direction,the microclimate of the road space is also very comfortable;when choosing to arrange a one-shape,HUI-shape or U-shape building on the side of the winter dominant wind direction and forming a better continuity interface,the microclimate environment can also be effectively improved.In addition,when the long side of the building is parallel to the road,ifthe length of the building along the road is in the range of 50 to 90 m,the larger the length is,the better the microclimate environment will be;when the short side of the building is parallel to the road and the length of the building along the road is in the range of 15 m to 50 m,the greater the length is,the more stable the road space microclimate will be.
