Yellowhorn(Xanthoceras sorbifolia)is an excellent woody grain and oil plant unique to China.Although yellowhorn is a relatively important economic forest tree,there have been few studies on yellowhom in the past,and it is mainly focused on plant breeding research.The WRKY transcription factor family plays an important role in plant growth and development,environmental adaptation and other biological aspects..The recently published yellowhorn genome sequence provides opportunity to identify and describe the entire yellowhorn WRKY transcription factor family.Identify the members,explore the composition and evolution of the WRKY transcription factor family in yellowhorn.Study the expression pattern of XsWRKY under salt stress,ABA and cold stress,and analyze the function of differentially expressed genes.It is helpful to further understand the evolution of the XsWRKY transcription factor family in woody plants and the resistance and regulation mechanism of yellowhorn,and to provide genetic resources and theoretical basis for the improvement of the variety of yellowhorn.This study draws the following conclusions:(1)65 members of XsWRKY family were identified in yellowhom.(2)The XsWRKY transcription factor family is mainly divided into 7 subfamilies,in which the number of members of the ?a subfamily is the least,the WRKY domain of the ? subfamily is the weakest,and the ? subfamily is the most extensive.(3)The conservative motif and gene structure of XsWRKY transcription factor family members of each subfamily are highly consistent with the family classification,but different subfamilies also have their own specific conserved motifs and gene structures.(4)The XsWRKY gene family may respond to ABA,IAA,GA,MeJA and SA hormones,among which the number of cis-elements related to ABA and MeJA hormones is the largest,(5)The proportion of fragment repeats in the XsWRKY gene family is much higher than that of tandem repeats,so the fragment repetition event may be the main reason for the amplification of the WRKY family in the yellowhorn genome.(6)Yellowhorn has more synteny Xs WRKY genes with soybean,Populus trichocarpa and apple,and the reason for the more synteny WRKY gene between soybean and yellowhorn may be related to the paleotetraploid event in soybean.(7)Most of the Xs WRKY genes are up-regulated under stress,and it is predicted than XsWRKY6,XsWRKY22,XsWRKY24,XsWRKY33,XsWRKY34,XsWRKY54 and other genes may play an important role in stress resistance.
