Research On Mario Augusto Bunge’s Philosophy Of Technology

With the progress of science and the improvement of technology,the philosophy of technology has become a hot and growing point of philosophy of science and technology,which has received extensive attention of scholars both here and abroad.Mario Augusto Bunge,a famous Canadian philosopher has already put forward the view of establishing the discipline of philosophy of technology in 1960 s.He subsequently proposed a series of questions and viewpoints on philosophy of technology.Based on consulting and translatiing a large number of Chinese and English literatures,the text mainly researches the viewpoints of Mario Augusto Bunge on philosophy of technology from five aspects that followed.First,giving a brief account of Bunge’s lifetime and academic achievements to show the historical and knowledge background that effect his viewpoints.Second,describing that he had different views on technology in the various period and introducing some concepts of technology-related such as technical rules etc.Third,discussing his engineering concepts from two aspects of engineering and social engineering.Fourth,analysing the relationship between technology and society and what kind of code of ethics should be kept by the technology in society,moreover,showing Bunge’s understanding of the sociology of technology.At last,coming to a conclusion that Bunge’s philosophy of technology has systemic characteristic and groundbreaking significance in the condition of the concrete analysis and discussion ahead.Furthermore,raising the view that we should combine Bunge’s philosophy of technology with today’s technology to promote the innovation of theories and practices.
