Hollow fiber,general and can be called a photonic crystal fiber,it is mainly composed of solid materials and the combination of a series of air hole,the dielectric constant for the two-dimensional periodic configuration,compared with general optical fiber,hollow fiber has many special properties,make its in the field of optical fiber transmission,such as scientific research has a very great research value.In the optical fiber,various gases can be charged to discharge and generate plasma.Therefore,the propagation characteristics of light in the plasma filled hollow fiber can be studied.Therefore,hollow fiber has become a hot research object in various related fields in recent years.In order to adapt to the development of The Times,this topic is about the process of inert gas discharge in hollow fiber.When the discharge is stable,the hollow fiber is filled with plasma,and then on this basis,the transmission characteristics of optical signals in this environment are studied.First of all,the basic knowledge of plasma system in this paper,proposed to establish a numerical model to study the discharge characteristics of the gas in the fiber.In order to accurately study the extremely complex process of argon discharge,this chapter used COMSOL Mutiphysics to design a simulation model of pure argon dc discharge.In this model,the distance between the cathode and the anode was 50mm,and the pressure inside the fiber was 6Torr.The main task of the model is to study the variation of plasma parameters in hollow fiber.Secondly,in the process of gas discharge,different discharge pressure will have a great impact on the discharge,which will cause the numerical changes of the discharge parameters in the process of discharge,such as electron density,electric field intensity,electric potential,etc Therefore,on the basis of the previous chapter,the discharge characteristics at different pressure were simulated in this chapter.The pressure variation range in the fiber was 3?5Torr,and the variation rule of each parameter with the pressure was obtained.Finally,the plasma generated by argon discharge is used to replace the air in the air hole and the optical field is simulated numerically.
