The study of rock slop stability on seismic load is a key topic of geotechnical field involving geotechnical mechanics, engineering geology, engineering dynamics, etc, which is a typical interdisciplinary subject.Carbonaceous shale is a kind of expansive soft rock with low strength and it is easy to be weathered and disintegrated. It is widely distributed in earthquake-prone areas in southwest of China. Therefore,in areas with frequent earthquakes, carbonaceous shale roads are prone to cause a series of serious geological disasters such as landslides and slope instability during construction and maintenance. At present, the dynamic analysis of slope stability is not mature enough. Therefore, the dynamic response law and stability of carbonaceous shale slope under seismic loading are studied as follows.1.Based on the K16+500?K24+400 section of the secondary road from Nanjiang County to Tongjiang County,Sichuan Province, the physicochemical properties of carbonaceous shale were analyzed by laboratory tests and the constitutive model was studied.Besides, the influencing factors of rock slope stability and the evaluation method of rock slope stability are summarized.2.Take the engineering project for example, establishing a carbonaceous shale slope model.Based on the model, the physical and mechanical parameters of carbonaceous shale are determined and corresponding seismic wave and model boundary conditions are selected. The dynamic response law of carbonaceous shale under seismic loading is analyzed by ANSYS finite element program, revealing the displacement and stress distribution characteristics of carbonaceous shale slope under seismic load are,and obtaining the variation law between safety factor and carbonaceous shale slope with different slope height and slope inclination.3.Reinforcing the carbonaceous shale slope under earthquake load and establishing the reinforced slope model.By comparing the displacement and stress of the numerical analysis results of the unreinforced carbon shale slope, proposing responding slope protection methods which achieved great effect of reinforcement.
