The polarization character of light is one of its basic attributes.It can effectively eliminate the interference factors fusing with intensity information in the imaging process and improve the ability of target recognition.At the present stage,polarization imaging technology has achieved good effect in the aviation,spaceflight remote sensing,military target recognition and other significant fields.However,due to the high cost,complex structure and long period of shooting,the development and application of polarization camera is limited in the field of industrial and civil areas.To address the above problems,this paper proposes a method to synthesize polarization image based on intensity image and simulation technology.The core of the method is to establish the simulation model of polarization imaging process to obtain the polarization degree characteristics of the target at the camera entrance pupil.The polarization degree image of the target with more obvious characteristics can be generated according to fusing with polarization degree and intensity image finally.In this paper,polarization imaging process modeling and object reflection characteristics modeling in the method implementation are studied in depth.First of all,the process of polarization imaging is introduced in detail and the imaging process is abstracted physically combining with the radiation transfer equation.The mechanism of the influence of atmospheric and geophysical reflection characteristics in the imaging process is analyzed in depth.Secondly,a detailed process of obtaining polarization images by fusing with intensity images and simulation models is established.A "polarization/intensity transmission model" is constructed for the whole process from the incident sunlight to the camera entrance pupil based on the 6SV framework.Modeling scheme of reflection characteristics of ground object is established by constructing the total empirical model of the polarization reflectance of ground objects target experimentally.Thirdly,a total empirical model construction system of the polarization reflectance of ground objects target is formed,and an indoor simulation testing system of ground objects target reflectance is constructed.The system composition and design scheme are introduced in detail.Finally,combined with a lot of test the target object polarized reflectance features are analyzed in detail,finally polarization images obtained from simulated polarization image by fusing with intensity image and polarization camera are compared,and the results show that the contrast information trend of the target and the background between the simulated polarization degree and real polarization image is consistent,and target feature information is improved significantly compared with intensity image.To sum up,the research in this paper shows that the technology of obtain polarization images combined intensity image with simulation technology is feasible and it can obtain high-quality polarization images at a low hardware cost,which provides a new direction for the future application of polarization imaging technology in industrial and civil fields.
