As the most extensive terrestrial ecosystem in the world, the desert contains a large amount of microbial resources. As an important part of soil microbes, soil fungi have good compressive properties and can be widely existed in deserts and have important ecological functions. In this paper, the representative desert vegetation types in Alashan and Qinghai Qaidam Basin were used as research objects to reveal the structure and diversity of soil fungal community through high-throughput sequencing technology. The effects of vegetation and its environmental factors on fungal communities in desert soils were discussed. This study will enrich the research data of soil fungi in desert areas, and also have certain application value for biodiversity protection of desert ecosystems and restoration and reconstruction of degraded desert vegetation.Below are key research findings:1)Desert vegetation in the study area Soil fungi shared fungi 16 phylums,46 classes,105 orders,251 families,535 genera. The dominant phylums of soil fungi in the desert community are Ascomycota(42.33%-81.89%)and Basidiomycota(5.93%-49.21%).Zygomycota,which is dominant in soil fungi in grassland communities,is not detected in soil fungal communities in desert communities. The content of soil fungi in the desert community is extremely uneven compared with the grassland community. There are still a large number of unknown strains to be found in the desert community at the genus and species level.2)The extreme environment of the desert ecosystem has spawned many rare strains that are drought tolerant, high temperature resistant, salttolerant and high-radiation-resistant,but limit the growth of common strains.3)In various habitats of desert communities, there is no significant difference in soil fungi species in different soil depths, but some fungi will change with the proportion of soil depth, such as Auricularia and Penicillium.4)Soil fungi diversity in different soil communities varies among different soil layers, but the difference is not significant;there are significant differences between the outside shrub canopy and inside shrub canopy.5)The composition of soil fungi in desert plant communities is related to the presence or absence of plants and is related to the species composition of the community.Soil pH,TN,TC and TOC have certain effects on the composition of soil fungi in desert communities, but the correlation is not significant.Among them,TN has the greatest impact on soil fungi.
