The volume scattering function(VSF)is the intrinsic optical property of particles, which has been widely used in many fields such as atmospherics, oceanography, biomedicine and so on.Present methods of VSF measurement are complex to operate and require high experimental condition. At the main time, the simulation on scattering of large particle,multi-particle or inhomogeneous particle still needs to be developed. In this thesis,T-matrix method is used to calculate the VSF of various particles, and the characteristics of scattering function curves of isolated particles and Multi-particles are obtained.Based on the analysis of fluid dynamics and simulation results such as MATLAB and COMSOL,a microfluidic chip for capturing the particles was designed and manufactured with PDMS as material.Based on the PMT,the ultra-narrow field of view light receiving system was designed modeling the spatial filter structure.According to the characteristics of the simulated particle scattering curve,an automatic angle scanning large dynamic range scattering detecting device was designed, using the electric filter wheel and the electric displacement platform. The system realizes the computer control of the measurement experiment.Using the built experimental system, after refractive index matching of microfluidic and the chip, this system can measure scattering light from 1o to 170o in a continuous way.Standard polystyrene particles with a size of 23.75?m,31.10?m,and 40.01?m are used as experimental samples. The coefficients of variation of the three repeated experimental data of all particles are concentrated at 0-0.4,which proves that the experiment has good stability and repeatability. The measurement results can provide data basis for the inversion of particle size or the classification of different particles, and this system has great potential in the study of volume scattering function.
