With the economic development and environmental changes,the river section of Yangling region of Weihe River basin(WRB)has problems such as insufficient flood control capacity and deterioration of water ecological environment,which are not compatible with the improvement of urban ecological environment and the sustainable development of social economy.The paper takes the comprehensive improvement project of Yangling region of WRB as the research object,carrying out studies on optimization and impact evaluation of comprehensive improvement project,optimizing the overall layout of the comprehensive improvement project,optimizing the key engineering design,finally conducting the engineering construction and benefit evaluation from aspects including the urban flood control,geological conditions and the influence of soil and water loss,etc.The main results of the paper are as follows:(1)Based on field investigation and collected data,the paper analyzed the variation characteristics of river channel in Yangling region,and deduced the present situation of the river channel and the flood water profile after the construction of the project.Combined with the characteristics of Yangling region,the paper proposed five kinds of engineering layout scheme,and analyzes their advantages and disadvantages.The layout plan of the comprehensive improvement project of Yangling region of WRB was finally determined through optimization.(2)The water retaining scheme,beach protection project and the seepage prevention facilities of the water storage area were optimized based on the layout plan of the comprehensive improvement project.The whole rubber color water retaining scheme was finally selected from the five aspects of river course flood passing,operation management,landscape effects,rushing sediment and engineering investment.The results of seepage calculation in the beach protection project showed that the anti-sliding stability safety coefficient of the north and south side beach projection project met the requirements of the specification.Through the comparison and selection,the anti-seepage scheme of the water storage area was determin ed as the discharge water on the backwater side of the deep water protection project,and to fill the low-lying land on both sides of the high bank.(3)This paper analyzed and evaluated the influences of engineering construction from four aspects including urban flood control,geological conditions,soil erosion and environmental impact,and analyzed the benefit of engineering construction,providing scientific basis for the construction of comprehensive renovation project in Yangling region of WRB.The results showed that the construction of the project would not have threat to urban flood control.Geological conditions and engineering construction had potential impact on some embankments,and the density of earth filling for some embankments needed to be reinforced.The results of environmental impact assessment showed that it was generally feasible from an environmental perspective,but the project construction still had some negative effects,and the corresponding environmental protection mea.sures needed to be implemented.
