Malmstone copper ore is an important type of copper deposit.In recent years,geological research on malmstone copper ore has become popular in Xinjiang.This paper adopts working methods such as field geological investigation,measured geological geochemical section,rock and mineral analysis,and thin section and polished section identification,the geological background and geological characteristics of the ore-forming basin where the Xinjiang Huayuan copper deposit is located,the geological characteristics of the Huayuan copper deposit,the main metal minerals in the Huayuan copper deposit and the altered mineral characteristics are studied from different angles.The analysis shows that the ore body is mainly layered,layered and lenticular,and the exposed ore has malachite,cuprite,copper blue,and the type of surrounding rock alteration in the mining area is simple,and the degree of alteration is low.The surrounding rock alteration is not developed.Through geochemical analysis,the copper content of the upper gray-grey-green sandstone layer in the upper part of the Upper Jurassic Kuqin Gonsu Formation is much higher than the Clark value in the crust,which is the most favorable layer for prospecting.The geochemical characteristics of the trace elements in the strata of the mining area with five factors indicate that there may be multiple periods of low-temperature oreforming fluid activities before mineralization.After deposition,they may be subjected to leaching of low-temperature hot brine in the basin.Activate redistribution.
