Cortinarius is the largest genus of Agaricales,including more than 2000 species.A species-rich and morphologically challenging genus and cosmopolitan distribution.In this paper,the taxonomy and phylogeny of Cortinarius in the world were reviewed.At the sametimes,the resources and morphology of Cortinarius in Northeast China were investigated extensively.Five hundreds and three specimens were collected and observed in this study,and all these specimens were collected from Northeast of China by the author and the team members.Fifty three species were identified and all the species belong to six subgenera or section,by classical taxonomy and combined molecular phylogeny.Main classification features and Keys to Cortinarius are all available in this study.The morphological descriptions and line drawig of mushroom were carried out,and their spores were also observed and photographed by scanning electron microscope(SEM).Fifty-three species were described,including one new species and twenty four new records to China,the new species is Cortinarius cheilocystidiophorus Y.Li,M.L.Xie,B Zhang & R.Q.Ji and the new record species to China are C.albocyaneus,C.alpinus,C.badiolatus,C.balteatoalbus,C.boreicyanites,C.boreotrichus,C.caesioarmeniacus,C.caesiophylloides,C.caninus,C.comptulus,C.croceosimilis,C.gallurae,C.impennoides,C.orasericeus,C.oreoborealis,C.paragaudis,C pastoralis,C.pluvius,C.rufulus,C.subfoetens,C.subpaleaceus,C.sulphurinus,C.talimultiformis and C.umbrinolens.Two new record species to Northeast of China are C.lucorum and C.uliginosus.Five new record species to Heilongjiang Province are C.croceus,C.diasemospermus,C.galeroides,C.trivialis and C.venustus.One new record species to Jilin Province is C.diasemospermus.Two new record species to Inner Mongolia are C.delibutus and C.tabularis.The molecular phylogeny of Cortinarius was studied based the sequence of ITS by NJ method.The results show that all species have high support rate in phylogenetic tree and supported morphological identification.Subg.Telamonia,Subg.Dermocybe,Sect.Anomali and Subg.Orellani are clustered together,respectively.The Subg.Myxacium on three branches in the phylogenetic tree.The Subg.Phlegmacium is clustered on eight branches,each branch has a higher support rate.
