Pumped storage power station play a role of requency modulation,phase modulation,emergency reserve etc in the power system with peak load,is an indispensable adjustment tool in an effective modern power system.The inlet/outlet is an important part of the water delivery system of a pumped storage power station,and its design level is directly related to the safety and efficiency of the power station.Based on Zhirui Pumped Storage Power Station,this paper studies the hydraulic characteristics of side inlet/outlet of lower reservoir.This paper describes mainly the side inlet/outlet of the lower reservoir of Zhirui pumped-storage power plant.The hydraulic characteristics of the side inlet/outlet in the lower reservoir are analoged with three-dimensional Realizablek-? turbulent model.The reliability of numerical simulation is verified according to the results of physical model test.It is found that the head loss of the side inlet/outlet of Zhirui Reservoir is too large,flow separation in outflow condition and distribution coefficient of the orifice is not uniform.Optimize the flow pattern and optimize the flow distribution to get a good body shape in all aspects,at the same time further study of the intake/outlet body under the inflow condition is swirling.To fully study the hydraulic characteristics of this inlet/outlet,further studies on open channels have also been carried out.Mainly include: multiple units at the same time running pumping and generating conditions,as well as multiple units pumping and generating power at the same time running the combination of conditions.Focusing on the surface flow in the open channel and the formation of an adverse circulation through the water depth,the hydraulic characteristics of the inlet/outlet are comprehensively evaluated.The traditional method of hydraulic structures shape optimization is generally carried out by model test or numerical simulation studying on the hydraulic characteristics,and then adjust the shape of the inlet/outlet for the unfavorable hydraulic characteristics until obtaining satisfactory shape.The shape optimization of lateral inlet/outlet under two-direction flow conditions can be regarded as multi-objective optimization problem.The multi-objective optimization is transformed into a single objective optimization problem by using weighted method,and the multi-island genetic algorithm(MIGA)is used to search the global optimal solution.The weighted head loss coefficient is defined as the objective function,and velocity uneven distribution coefficient and discharge uneven distribution coefficient of the four orifices are taken as constraints.Parametric modeling method and the approximation of response surface model based on CFD calculation,which speed up the modeling and numerical simulation in the scheme selection,improve the optimization efficiency.
