Ethanamizuril?EZL?is a new triazine anticoccidial drug which is formulated by Department of Pharmacology of Shanghai Veterinary Research Institute,Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science.At present,the veterinary drug pollution to the ecological environment has aroused extensive attention.A probationary assessment of environmental safety of EZL was conducted systematically,including the ecological toxicity to non-target organisms,environmental behavior in soil,and the effect of the kinase activity of earthworm oxidation.The results showed that,the toxicities of EZL to earthworm,bird,plant,fish,and algae,Daphnia were low,according to the grade standards of pesticide toxicity on each non-target organisms.The moderate toxicity was comparatively studied on the respiration rate of soil microorganism and was noticed that microorganism from Nanjing yellow brown soil were effected to some extent but microbes of Shanghai grey alluvial soil show no effects.The artificial soil test showed that 14 d-LC50 to earthworm was9255.90 mg·kg-1 dry soil,the 7 d-LD50 of quail acute oral toxicity test was2597.91 mg·kg-11 bw,and there is no significant gender difference.The 96h-LC50 for Zebra fish was more than 100.00 mg·L-1.The 48 h-EC50 for Daphnia magna in the acute inhibition test was 26.41 mg·L-1.The 96h-EC50 for Scenedesmus obliquus in the acute inhibition test was 183.05mg·L-1.The mothed for determination of residues of EZL in water and soil by high performance liquid chromatography?HPLC?was established.After repeated experiments,EZL recoveries determined in water and soil by HPLC were both more than 75%,in line with residue analysis requirements.With the detection method,the study of environmental behavior was carried out.The degradation experiment showed that EZL has easy degradation and the biological half-life of the 3 kinds of soil was within 10days.The adsorption/desorption experiments showed that EZL in grey alluvial soil,red soil and yellow brown soil,is more difficult adsorption,with physical adsorption,and the Kd values were 9.196,5.821,1.766.The soil thin-layer chromatography?TLC?showed that the mobility of EZL in grey alluvial soil,yellow brown soil and red soil was more difficult to move.The results of oxidative stress experiment indicated that SOD was activated by EZL and inhibited the generation of earthworm MDA,earthworm CAT activity and POD activity had a certain stimulation effect under low EZL,and inhibited at high EZL concentration.In short,the EZL in low concentration,high ecological toxicity,degradation in soil,was not easy to transport in soil.The result of this paper lays a foundation for environmental safety and evaluation.
