infrastructure construction.It has seriously affected the modernization process of our country.The main performance: first,the lack of planning implementation,the overall planning of land use often in detail will not comply with,arbitrary construction.Second,plane expansion,in order to pursue economic goals blindly in the form of "spread out","road economy" phenomenon is serious.Many towns are isolated and not being used.Third,the new town should be built to open up the new town on the basis that the old city is not perfect.The extensive land management phenomenon of "expropriating but not using,expropriating more and using less" often occurs in the townships or urban edges.Fourth,the low level repeated construction is serious,the normal reasonable function partition is vague.Urban public infrastructure construction is backward.Fifth,we should only focus on the planning of large areas of land and profitable land planning.Some plots of land are laid out in disorder without a unified arrangement.This study selected in Urumqi,XinJiang Uygur autonomous region as the study area,remote sensing image of 1992-2017 with every 5 years as a period for processing,using the extraction of building index on external morphology and structure of city index calculation,it is concluded that urban expansion during the period of the intensity change,compact degree of the change and the change of the fractal dimension and center of gravity changes migration and development direction.Through analyzing the changes of urban spatial form,area and other relevant data in various periods of Urumqi city from 1992 to 2017,the urban external form and structure were analyzed.At the same time,the index system of Urumqi's internal driving force is constructed,and the weight of each influencing factor of the index system is determined by entropy method.The development trend of inner drive of urumqi urban spatial form is calculated and analyzed,and the main factors of inner drive are determined.Meanwhile,the trend line is used to analyze the spatial expansion direction,quantity and comprehensive value of inner drive factor of Urumqi in the latter period.(1)From 1992 to 1997,the overall expansion trend was obvious,the main expansion was based on the north-south trend of the main road,and the geometric center of the city had a large migration.The whole belongs to corridor extension.The internal driving force is an important driving force at this stage.(2)From 1997 to 2002,the urban area further expanded outwards,which was generally a spreading expansion.During this period,the internal structure optimization was absent and the functional zoning was not clear.Urban sprawl is spread aimlessly,with residential,commercial and industrial areas basically mixed together.Urban geometric centers have a small amount of migration,and it is this chaotic internal zoning that makes the population more concentrated and the economy more active.The expansion of the city away from the original homestead,expansion mostly to the wasteland.This stage of the city mainly to the west,northwest expansion.The small hills and hills inside the original central city have not been optimized and integrated.(3)From 2002 to 2007,the urban areas of urumqi continued to expand outwards at a fast pace,which was a kind of leap-forward expansion.The road network and infrastructure construction of the toutunhe industrial zone,midong industrial zone and the city were established and improved successively.During this period,the interior of the city was optimized and the land layout was more reasonable.There is a large migration of urban geometric centers.Establishment of industrial zone and improvement of infrastructure.In this period,the urban form evolution and internal optimization reaction to the urban internal driving factors.Secondly,the number of residential areas in this period showed a geometric growth,and the demand for housing increased,indicating that the population of immigrants and permanent residents grew faster than before.(4)From 2007 to 2012,the urban area of Urumqi expanded at an obvious speed,which was an extensive expansion on the whole.During this period,the most obvious internal optimization of the city was the road optimization,and the east-west direction of Urumqi was completely connected.In this period,the urban expansion direction was mainly northwest and northeast.In the northeast,it is mainly aimed at the east of mi to expand,followed by connecting the urban area with ganquanpu industrial park.The migration of urban geometric centers is small.In 2012,China's GDP exceeded 200 billion yuan for the first time,an increase of 2.5 times compared with 2007.Internal drive is significant.(5)From 2012 to 2017,the urban expansion of Urumqi was further expanded,which was a multi-node marginal expansion on the whole.During this period,the skeleton of the city was enlarged,and the east-west width was extended most obviously.The ring highway connects the major functional areas of Urumqi.In this period,the urban expansion direction was mainly northwest and east.Among them,the northwest mainly establishes the
